When a house is demolished due to the illegal activities of one of its inhabitants, all the other residents bear the repercussions of those actions. This practice is referred to as ‘collective punishment’.

    It’s a good article, but I really dont like the narrative that normalizes punishment.

    Courts give sentences to the guilty and send then to prison for correction. Prisons exist to help people who are sick. Prisons are treatment centers, not places of punishment.

    Collective Punishment is a War Crime

    Glad to see comparisons between Israel/Palestine and India/Pakistan. There’s so many analogies and similar roots in both conflicts (caused by the British). We need more comparisons like this.
