The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) were accused of targeting journalists covering Monday’s raid on the West Bank town of Jenin.
Footage shows a military vehicle arriving, with the occupants appearing to shoot at a camera set-up in the street. The equipment can be seen taking a number of hits, before falling to the ground, and is also shown to be on fire following the attack.
Reporters in 'press' jackets are seen examining the extent of the damage to their kit, before the media crew moved to a waiting ambulance.
According to reports from WAFA, the Palestinian news agency, the crew included an Al Araby TV reporter and his camera operator.
The Israeli military has not commented on the footage.
The IDF described the Jenin operation, which included drone strikes and the movement of around 2,000 soldiers, as a raid on a 'terror hub', claiming seven 'terrorists' had been killed.
It included a drone attack on what the Israeli Defence Forces called a 'joint operational command centre' for groups including Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
A spokesperson for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called it a 'new war crime against our defenceless people'. The Palestinian Health Ministry added that at least 28 people had also been injured.
According to the UN, 147 Palestinians have been killed in 2023, as well as 23 Israelis, with heightened tensions in recent months. | Video Ruptly
