    This is unfortunate. I think it is probably a response to people leaking military strategy as well as going up against Russian propaganda. But freedom of the press is an extremely important part of a healthy democracy so at what cost.

      Freedom of the press never extended to the front lines of an active war zone.

      Autonomous reporters (even if they only are that, which isn’t safe to assume) wandering around on battlefields can cause all kinds of issues for everyone involved.

        For sure that makes total sense. It’s sounding, though, like the law has more broad implications than just the front lines. But I haven’t looked that much into it and like I was saying I do trust that it’s for the right reasons.
