    So, the thing is this is based on a particular hypothesis that Long Covid is caused by lingering, chronic, low-level viral infection that results in an overactive immune system. While that may be true in a subset of Long Covid suffers, the long history of post-viral syndromes like ME/CFS make me pretty skeptical that an anti-viral drug is going to have much impact on most of Long Covid.

    But that’s my own hypothesis.

      hopefully this research helps them figure out a cure to ME/CFS as well

    Australian scientists are preparing to undertake human trials within months of two new drugs they’ve developed to prevent COVID-19 infection, and treat people who’ve been exposed to the virus so they don’t develop severe disease.

    Sounds like these are not aimed at Long Covid/ME but at infection.
