Richfolk are known for their strong survival skills.
My odds are on them being the first ones killed and looted when the shit really hits the fan.

A++ Would smash again.
Right? Like I would donate my liver to my kid, or my spouse, without even questioning it.
But if the doctor told me they can’t have it (for some reason other than incompatibility), and they died? Fuck them. I’d de-register as an organ donor out of spite.
Why are they still so hung up on 8.3 long after Win95?
I get not wanting to have spaces in a filename. Those suck.
Is there something low-level that still doesn’t like long filenames?
Especially when these drones are basically kamikazes. Last think we need is to be shipping over million-dollar Lockheed quadcopters to be met with that kind of fate.
So they are seeking asylum in another country? Like, to move there permanently?
Huh.
It’s weird that as a liberal, driving a Tesla is frowned upon.
Like, I get it, Musk is way more weird. But that there’s an electric car that I can’t buy for fear of being viewed as a conservative. That’s kinda weird.
I got mine 13 months ago, still going strong. I can check how much time is left on my phone anyway.
Yeah I’d check for fragmentation, particularly coming from whatever was on the opposite end of this tunnel. This looks like librespeed (which is super simple to run in a container, ‘adolfintel/speedtest‘, if interested…I run some at work and it’s very useful) so I’m assuming it was running on the server at the other end of the wireguard tunnel?
That latency and jitter are also absurd tho. Op should run a bufferbloat test on both sides. Though I don’t always trust those results from librespeed.
Dude have you seen an American public education?
America is the hero throughout all of history class.
Because we know he won’t. He knows he’s unwelcome by the majority of the people. That just makes his worshippers praise him even more.
What do you expect…Democrats ask him to step down because he’s a convicted felon? He’s gonna listen?
Republicans to have him step down…why? Because he said lies(that they believe) and sounded good saying them?
Biden we at least know is receptive. And he’s got an amazing career behind him. Losing the presidency, as an incumbent, to Trump (the incumbent he just barely defeated four years ago when he exuded much more confidence when he spoke against him) would be a terrible way to end it.
There’s nothing in the world more powerful than a good story.
NGL I kinda want to look into OG Xbox emulation, been waxing nostalgia for Fable.
Depends. Chihuahua or mini-pin, yeah, I agree. But a golden-doodle? That’s a tough call.
I remember getting sent to the principals office for “hacking” (pinging the computer in the next room) in like 8th grade.
Back in 4th/5th I actually was hacking, modifying our user menu to add Windows 3.1 and a password (copying config from a teacher’s profile). Also brute-forced at least two teachers passwords.
I’m a network architect now, so there’s that.
I don’t think any programmer would be dumb enough to take that bait.
They would be held personally liable for any business decision that costs the stockholders (while, of course, not being given anything extra when a business decision nets stockholders a fortune).
You wouldn’t download a serial killer.
But you could download countless murder-mystery audiobooks and ebooks from Libby, so that’s a close second.
Most of that could be like 10 lines of python…
See, I don’t think that. I think they are power hungry, sure. But I don’t think they ever realized the power that their product would grant them. It’s totally unprecedented. They get right into our brain and tickle our dopamine receptors while they mess with everything else.
I don’t think they expected or were prepared to yield that type of power, at all. I really feel like Zuck et al accidentally stumbled into being a supervillain. Like some sick Mr. Bean skit.
What’s the richman gonna give his army? Money?
His army’s got the guns. It’s one versus the entire staff, on a private island, at the collapse of society, and you think the guys with all guns and no food are gonna treat their boss with the civility that’s expected in a typical employee/employer relationship?
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
