Seconding the dry herb vape suggestion. Concentrates are great but quality control can be questionable, and some of the solvents aren’t ideal.

If you’re curious, definitely swing by !vaporents@lemmy.beyondcombustion.net and see what people are working with. It sounds like you would prefer what we call a “heavy hitter.” Most vapes are extremely efficient… but heavy hitters are meant to mimic the type of high you get from glass. Many vapes these days can also take concentrates, although cleanup is of variable user-friendliness.

While I’m commenting on the topic - some people like to suggest edibles as an alternative but 1. the body processes them differently and so it’s actually a different type of high (more traditionally psychedelic), 2. quality control is still sus, and 3. they don’t work for everyone.

Yeah I have a bunch of vapes. I listed them in another comment.

Yeah the edibles are somewhat different. But with legalization it’s different from the old days. There nano emulsified, distillate edibles, rso edibles, tinctures, and straight rso in a capsule.

Personally I make tincture and add drops to canned seltzer. I just put like 5mg in a can and drink them kinda like I would beer. Sometimes I add it to my cocktails.

Edibles do seem to lose out on the variety of strain effects though imo.

Back in the day we would just add as much weed to brownies that we could and get blasted. Now it’s kinda nice to just catch a light buzz and reup when needed. …before bed is different though I love a high dose before bed.

Awesome! Well I hope you consider joining the community.

Yeah the edibles are somewhat different.

They are digested differently and act through different mechanisms - it is a measurably different high. It actually works through mechanisms typically used by psychedelics.
