The annual ranking, which Forbes created in partnership with market research firm Statista, is based primarily on a survey of more than 40,000 people working for Canadian companies and institutions that employ at least 500 individuals. Survey respondents were asked to rate their employer based on a range of criteria, including salary, gender pay-equity, work flexibility, opportunities for promotion and on-the-job training. Participants were also asked if they would recommend their employer to others, and were given the chance to rate other employers in their respective industries.
Server admin in a DC
That wouldn’t be called a Software Engineer I would think.
What do you think software engineers work on for Hershey? They don’t make chocolate in a cloud factory. Factory automation needs iron moved around, and there you go.
I’m sorry you wouldn’t think so. I’ve seen far sketchier.
lmao do you think software developers at oil companies are next to the drill with a giant wrench?
All I was saying is that Server Admins in a DC aren’t likely the Software Engineers.
Software engineers at Hershey’s probably run the gamut from embedded programming to web developers. An organization their size requires a lot of software.
Edit: My initial comment was more hostile than I had intended. Sorry.
