Rumors abound that the apparent U.S. approval of an F-16 deal rests upon Turkey dropping its opposition to Sweden joining NATO.
Lol credit where credit is due, they milked this whole thing out to get some good concessions in the end.
I thought they were going to get F22s before they started pulling this shit?
Edit: F-35 not F-22…

F-35s, and they lost out because they bought a Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile system. Congress blocked them from purchasing any.
The F-22 was blocked from all exports; part of why they’re so expensive - no economy of scale for production.
That was stopped due to the purchase of Russian air defense iirc.
It was never on the table. The F22 is a US only aircraft.
Turkey was going to get F35s but that was blocked because of buying the Russian air defense.
Indeed I did not even realize it said 22 instead of 35.
I use he/him
Misunderstanding alert … my apologies. But “it” refers to your text, not to you as a person :) I would never dream of referring to another human being as an “it”.
F22s are only for the US Air Force. They’re non exportable to any other country at all.
Had Greece made any public comments about this?
