Ok, but what if an entire programming language is made of whitespace?

19% central bank rates are anything but normal.
In the US, a 6% 30-year mortgage on a $200k home costs $1,199/mo (excluding taxes, insurance, etc). That exact same mortgage at Russia’s 19% is $3,178/mo.
No, at 19% it’s basically impossible to finance anything. Good luck buying a home, buying a car, expanding your business. We are talking literal credit card rates for the safest of things. And I’m being generous here, nobody gets the central bank rate, that is the floor, the cheapest rates that only banks get.
Yep! And the vast majority of the TSA changes since then don’t actually accomplish anything. There is a reason I continue using the phrase security theater.
Much of the problem is related to TSA security theater. Cutting down on that alone would go a long way to improving the airport experience.
are you actually comparing an international flight with your local bus
Local flights have the same issues.
they truly do want to get you through the airport and to your destination as soon as possible, it would be more profitable for them
The airlines don’t run airports. Much of the slowdowns and hassles that occur there are caused by TSA security theater.
What if we made airports less shit, so people weren’t spending so much time there, so people weren’t as stressed about missing their flights.
I have never been stressed to get on a bus, you roll up, put your shit in it, and get on. No massive waits, no massive security line, just get on and the bus leaves. We should make airports more like this.
The biggest thing is you have changed a random write to a linear write, something HDDs are significantly better at. The torrent is downloading little pieces from all over the place, requiring the HDD to move it’s head all over the place to write them. But when simply copying off the ssd, it keeps the head in roughly one place and just writes lineally, utilizing it’s maximum write speed.
I would say try it out, see if it helps.
Also, if the HDD is having to do other tasks at the same time, that will slow it down as the head can only ever be in one place.
If the leader honored the election results, there wouldn’t be an issue. Instead doctored results were put out to re-elect the loser.
In related news today, Top Russian economist dies after falling out of window.
so much room for activities
The new Ford class carriers have a nuclear reactor in them that outputs about 2x as much power as the ship actually needs. If/when these are ready for prime time, prepare or some raves on the flight deck!
Not that I’m aware of. The uncrewed surface vessel in this case was one of the attacking vessels.
Some games also have beta channels that are just the past versions of the game. Weather this exists or not is completely up to the game publisher though. I mostly see it in games that have active mod communities, so they want to let you lock down your version so your mod pack doesn’t break suddenly.
Making it harder for firearm education, use, handling and entertainment videos to be on the most popular video platform is not a positive step. The resources people have to safely handle and use firearms has now diminished.
If you go to your profile there is a listing of your subscribed communities. I normally navigate from that.
Yeah, AWD has a small MPG penalty and one-time purchase cost. If you live in a cold climate or drive off-road it is incredibly important to make sure you don’t get stuck. If you live in a warm climate and keep it on the road, probably would opt for FWD. I suppose RWD is also an option, but then it is much, much easier to get stuck, to the point I would never consider it unless this is a side car you don’t care about.
I also have had very, very few issues with tires. I don’t tend to drive on upright nails or hit curbs at high speed, so at least for me the advantage of only needing to replace two at a time vs four (or get a new one ground down to match) is almost a non-thought.
The only time a nuke has ever been used in war was when only one country had them. Disarmament destroys MAD and makes it possible for only one country to have (and therefore use) nukes again.
Any fan pushing out is also causing air to pull in somewhere else. The inverse is also true. Setup all your fans in the same orientation (ex: all blowing out or all blowing in) and have the other windows in the house open as well.
For maximum effect, have the cool air first coming into a room (or rooms) you are in or most want to cool down. As that will give you the most pronounced, direct effect.
It is also generally helpful to make sure the air has to travel through several rooms in its journey. If it is coming in a window, and leaving from another window in the same room, most of your house will get nothing.
You can also run your home’s HVAC on fan mode to distribute air more, if you are having troubles with certain areas of the house. Also remember bathroom vents can help out, too.
You create as many as is appropriate for the story. If you are picking the race of characters for any reason other than the story itself, you are sacrificing the quality of the story.
There are some practical concerns if your story is turning into a film. If you are filming in China you are probably going to have a lot of Chinese, if you are filming in Kenya, you are probably going to have a lot of Kenyans, if you are filming in Germany, you are probably going to have a lot of Germans, etc, etc.
Now why would Iran’s ambassador have a Hezbollah pager? 🤔
(we all know why)
