Based on what I’ve gleaned from Ontario folks talking about him, I take it Ford is a big fan of spending time in cottage country. Seems somewhat self-serving from that angle, but perhaps our community members from there could provide some insight.

Any time there is a crisis in Ontario(there have been quite a few in the last 2-3 years), you can count on Dough to be up at the cottage. The prime example of this was during the freedumb rally takeover of downtown Ottawa, he did absolutely nothing to help the people he represents and instead took off snowmobiling(was called out on instagram).

Yes but also he just hates anyone with less money than him. Ontarians are struggling to find any form of affordable shelter. This isn’t the first way ontario has made it illegal to be poor.

The article makes clear that it’s about environmental protection and nothing else.

If that were true, then the legislative effort would have been about waste management, permits, inspections, and enforcement. Maybe that hypothetical legislation would have covered anchorage to ensure that shorelines and sensitive areas are protected. It might even have included population density.

This is clearly about something else.
