Makes zero sense. The provincial government should stick to provincial matters instead of trying this dumb populist play to win rural votes by sticking their fingers into municipal matters.

This is so wrong-headed I can’t believe I’m reading it. Taking lanes away from private automobiles is precisely what you want to do where there is congestion if you want more people to be able to use the road.
Ford on new housing regulations: We shouldn’t do anything because municipalities know best!
Ford on new transportation regulations: We need to do something because municipalities can’t be trusted!
