He is a war hawk working for the think tank owned and operated by Rand Paul and the Koch brothers.

This just isn’t their preferred war, that’s it. They apparently prefer US servicemen and women dying over some oil or other natural resource they can exploit.

Lol you’re almost starting to try to get it, huh. You’re so fucked I’m ahead by two years. Two years you drank the koolaid.

No shit they would rather be fighting a war they’re not actively losing. Go look at the House Select Committee on China Chairman Gallagher’s beliefs.

“They” are not fighting any war, the US et al. are financing one. The US&co are writing off military assets and listing that as aid, while spending money on industrial capacity they now know they will need in the future. While at the same time crippling a geopolitical rival for cents on the dollar. From a US military and political point of view this is money well spent. And as long as these goals align with the needs of the Ukrainians the weapons will keep on coming.

If anything the war hawks are pointing at this conflict and saying “spend more on weapons of deterrence” as if that will magically solve the issues.

I personally hope the Ukrainians have been able to make the lines brittle enough to break out somewhere and reach the sea of asov before winter. But that this war will not be over this year is probably true.

            Exactly.
For Russia to win, they have to annex a large portion of Ukraine.
For Ukraine to win, they have to gain lost territory back.
For the US to win, the war has to go on as long as possible.

It’s also important to remember that US aid is often a loan.
