Not surprised by the tsunami. Was watching the Forcast model of the world wind currents during hurricane Francine a few days ago and saw right after it dissipated, a hurricane like 10x larger formed right in the middle of the Atlantic.

Was surprised how large it can get when not interrupted by landmass.

I like how baby mammals like pandas and cats look like long pink blobs when they’re first born.

Side thought, all I can think of now is developing the technology to accelerate the rotation of some of these ITN “slingshot” planets to speeds where they become giant versions of those hotwheels motorized launcher tracks.

It’s true that in the situation and country, this is equivalent to someone fleeing a traffic stop when they remember they have warrants. Authority figure gonna do what they’re enlisted to do, because it’s their perogative and their “duty” (and I mean duty in the sense of being bound to their personal theology)

But yet, would either of those situations would cause said authority to use deadly force? Of course not.

Was literally going to ask this same question last week. Past three employers are expecting 8-5 m-f but only pay 40 hours.

I’ve just been coming in at 6 before the boss to look like a hardworking then leave at 2 so I only work what I’m paid.

I remember watching this when the video first came out a couple months back. The technology for recognition from brain signals is amazing but I can’t help but wish there were some better front end devs to make the avatar not seem so robotic. I mean we have ‘indecernaible from reality’ AI models nowadays, just a few adjustments to the speech tempo and inflection could drastically improve the perceived results.

North America went from undeveloped to world leader in what, 300 years? Israel and Palestine have been habitated by humans more than 6000 years. Both equidistant from European hubs of industry and innovation.

So the fact it hasn’t developed into a world leading pair of nations is on the people.

Agreed, the bigger stronger countries aren’t mature enough to handle themselves, let alone getting mixed in other conflicts.

But like who’s the “adult” in this metaphorical dynamic? If there is no mediation, then one of two things will happen

1. One kills and annexes the other Or 2. They continue to fight until they run out of populace and the whole area falls to irreparable socio-economic ruin.

I personally vote we let Greenland handle any and all affairs pertaining to this battle. They got a steady reign on things over there.
