To be pedantic: Ethernet is a protocol so mentioning the medium used outside of a historical context is kinda irrelevant.

It’s like the crime version of Buy, Borrow, Die.
A pass key is the private key in a private/public key pair. The private key is stored in the TPM on your device. The website contains the public key. When you use your “one password” you’re in effect giving your device permission to access the key storage in your TPM to fetch the private key to present it to the site.
What this means in practice is that if a website has a data breach they won’t have your hashed password, only your public key which… is public. It doesn’t and can’t do anything on its own. It needs the private key, which again only you have and the website doesn’t store, to do anything at all.
If you want to read more about it look into cryptographic key pairs. Pretty neat how they work.
Right, but what they are saying is that the relevant law does not address LGBT people either.
You are still drawing an equivalence between availability of information in America compared to Russia, implying they are equal. They are not and what you are doing is disingenuous.
China would be a US ally and NATO member
I didn’t know China was located in the Atlantic.
More like territorial waters is 12 nautical miles for the coast so even if Taiwan was considered part of mainland China, the straight is like 90nm wide so a majority of it should be freely navigable by any ship. China doesn’t think so and claims the entire thing as territorial waters.
Just in time for Halloween I hope.
I’ve worked on the base in Pensacola with the museum. Those places are specifically open to the public. Further on past the lighthouse and museum is another checkpoint preventing the public from entering the rest of the base.
I think you kind of missed the forest for the trees here. Those 20 command lines that run in the background will take the same amount of time to complete each task as manually entering them, sure. But the benefit is that you take less time to overall because I don’t care how fast you are with typing, you still have to enter 20 commands instead of just the 4 buttons.
Yeah I’m not sure where Amercia factors into a protest in South Korea, about Japan, as reported on by a journalism company based in the UK.
The plan was reviewed, and tested by, the UN and by the International Atomic Energy Agency and found to be very safe. Here’san article that briefly talks about it.
So what you’re saying is, China is trying to deny freedom of navigation in the South China Sea? If you agree with me why are we even having this discussion.
I like that in all of your rambling, despite directly quoting me, you carefully evaded explaining why China would want to build fake islands and expand it’s territorial waters.
Hey look. A tankie that has no idea what the fuck they are talking about. I am shocked. Territorial waters are defined as 12 nautical miles typically from the shore. These are defined by the United Nations that China is a part of and agreed to. There is a reason why China is literally building fake islands to increase it’s territorial water claim there.
Democracy lives off of discourse between opposing views.
The inference here is that both views are of equivalent merit which is very much not true. This idea is called The Paradox of Tolerance. If a society is tolerant without limit, its ability to be tolerant is eventually ceased or destroyed by the intolerant.
Agreed. Tankies are right-wing authoritarians in that communism is supposed to be stateless. They bitch about US imperialism but are always very quiet about China’s actions in Africa. It’s frustrating because like I get it. America has some pretty deep problems but to think that somehow it is worse than China is mindlessly reactionary.
For real. The tankie problem here is crazy. I can say something like China is trying to deny freedom of navigation of international waters on the South China Sea and somehow it becomes “BuT aMeRiCa”. I don’t get it.
And it did. It started with coaxial. The fact that ethernet is now largely used in conjunction with UTP or STP doesn’t add much when talking about the Ethernet protocol itself.
