It’s looking more and more depressing on that front too…

Apparently we’re discovering that our type of star system with its long periods of stability and lack of local disruptive bodies is incredibly, incredibly, rare… There are a (literal) astronomical amount of systems out there so there’s no way we’re the only one with life, but it’s really looking like there could only be a “handful” of others out there :/

I always just say “I’d be better if you were checking my prostate” but I always get kicked out right after! I can never quite put my finger in why though…

Corporation: “We must say with a heavy heart that we’ve lost our communications department. They all died of hysterical laughter after receiving a request to put people over profit.”

I feel like when confronted about a “stolen comedy bit” a lot of these people complaining would also argue that “no work is entirely unique, everyone borrows from what already existed before.” But now they’re all coming out of the woodwork for a payday or something… It’s kinda frustrating especially if they kill any private use too…

I think he would have had to be convicted of that. Even though it’s exactly what he did, he hasn’t been convicted of anything really. The only shit that ever sticks with him are low stakes civil cases he can just throw money at…

The problem is that people were NOT being treated equally and so we had to try to force institutions to accept people they’d otherwise discriminate against. This isn’t going to bring any equality, we’re going to go back to marginalized groups and historically discriminated groups being left out again and rich white people will be back “on top.”

I say this as a white guy with all the advantages society gives me so I’m not some rando asking for a leg up on anyone. It’s not about me.
