That was amazing!
That was amazing!
I opened this post thinking the woman in question was some high level C suite worker. Nope she was supposedly working in fast food. This is beyond dystopian. You mean to tell me this fucker walked in a fast food place saw a toddler and an infant behind the counter, recognized that the mom must have just given birth and thought “Yup this is inspiring.” I’m honestly speechless. This might be one of the few instances I’ve ever seen where everyone responding is on the same page with their reaction and rage.
I’m torn about this because I have good mentors but I genuinely want to try to learn how to code and not just have the answers given to me right away. At least I’m only working on volunteer project so being slow isn’t really holding anyone else up.
American here. I love the German meme communities if even I don’t always understand the joke. Thanks for letting us know how you guys are doing and I hope everyone lands safely in the new server.
Yea this just screams VCU student.
Please tell me you’ve been saving this picture just for this type of occasion. 😂
Something I learned taking college microbiology was that if you reuse towels for drying off make sure one end (like the end with the tag) is dedicated for your bottom half and the other for the top. That way you don’t accidentally get your genital flora in your eyes/face.
Birds are extremely sensitive to the fumes given off by Teflon and will die. So no Teflon anything in the house.
I have parrots so no telfon anything in my house. Bought two Green Pan ceramic skillets fairly cheap and they are still going strong a decade later. Definitely don’t use metal utensils in them.
That’s a relief because I thought I’d stumbled into LinkedIn Lunatics for a hot second.
I left healthcare 2 years ago. Most people are leaving these positions because of lean business practices leading to severe burnout. We would have no problems filling open positions if there was proper staffing and proper compensation. And I don’t believe that money is the sole issue. When you are trying to do the job of multiple people and find yourself not being effective in helping patients because of elements outside of your control, you end up realizing that what money your are getting is no longer worth the hit to your mental health. People that choose these positions genuinely want to help others but there is a breaking point and we are seeing it in real time right now.
I thought both the sound and the letters were referred to as phonetics. Now I’m interested in what other answers are.
Theranos went down because Holmes was trying to run the same tired start-up scam all the big boys pull but within the confines of the medical industry. She would have succeeded if she had picked something non medical. The FDA doesn’t fuck around. If Elon thinks he’s smart enough to pull the same shit he’s going to “find out” too.
I don’t even smoke and my first thought was how the hell is this person going to roll a joint with a bandaid?
I have never seen automation fully replace the need for human workers. You still need people to maintain the equipment. All automation does is increase the amount of output. And when you start running machines at capacity you find out real quick just how much maintenance they really need.
That’s because American health insurance is not really insurance it’s a discount plan. Any of you remember being forced to sell those overpriced coupon books as fundraisers in school? That’s what American health insurance is. It’s a shitty discount plan/coupon book that you are forced into buying from your employer and the plan itself makes sure you pay as much out of pocket as they can legally get away with.
It most likely is. I know we colloquially would refer to this as breaking the 4th wall but I don’t know the real terminology for this in written literature. I do like all of the various answers everyone has provided. It’s made for some interesting reading.
I believe that’s called narration.
Thank you for this I had no idea what was going on.
"Only thing stopping them from sending hired thugs to your house to shake the change out your pockets is the law. "
This is how I feel about ads. Ads are legal psychological warfare with the sole aim of stealing your money.
