  • Pro tip: trips aren’t perfect. It’s life, nothing will be perfect. BUT learn to roll with things and don’t take it super hard of something goes awry. Some of my best memories and stories are from agonizing parts of trips.

Also, don’t plan out all you time there, leave some free time open to list about. You’ll be there with your SO, you intend to spend quality time with them, it’s great to have open time to go do something that catches either of your attentions rather than dismiss it due to “vacation appointments” like a tourist spot you planned.

Take pictures or memorabilia of whatever suits you, I have pictures of cool mirrors in hotels, or a wonky bathtub. Again don’t dwell too much on making it perfect, the perfect spot, the perfect picture etc. I have a hilarious picture of an SO with a guy running across the shot, I got him in multiple frames. Still some of my favorites from the trip.

Grab some local currency before you arrive so it’s on hand, know what ATMs can allow you to pull money from for free (Bank of america has a bunch of partners all over Europe) and Don’t let the TSA disappear it from your bag.

  • I don’t mind vegans, or that lifestyle, at all. What I do mind is people who are overtly (and possibly aggressive) in presenting a lifestyle that the feel is “right”. Unfortunately there’s a stereo type with vegans being that way.

Veganism is a big lifestyle choice and the difference to vegetarian is the avoidance of near all animal products if and when possible. Not just in regards to eating meat, but things like a leather wallet too.

Someone has to be careful and on top of their diet and dietary needs to be vegan and properly nourished (even omnivorous people are subject to this malnutrition mind you).

I have some personal differences in views to vegans in regards to the consumption of meat, but rather similar views in how it’s obtained. I do think generally the mass production and lifestyle is not morally correct for the animals. However I would also say humans are naturally omnivorous and eating meat is something that not only is built into our diet but what gave us a fundamental evolutionary advantages.

Animals eat animals and humans are animals. Though if we are sentient enough and empathetic enough creatures we should at least provide a decent life for the animals and utilize all we can so as not so waste them.

  • I suppose it really depends on why I’m the last person on earth. If it was nuclear fallout, I’d probably be dead pretty quick.

If we’re under the assumption that everybody just poofed away and I’m the last person, absolutely a few months minimum. I’m within easy walking distance of some stores that have plethora of canned and preserved foods and liquids. I also know some places that already have full solar infrastructure already integrated.

All that being said, I’d probably off myself. I’m fairly non-social to begin with but I’d still be unhappy never being able to communicate with anyone ever again on top of major resource struggles in the future. Never find a partner, probably not even a domesticated pet as they’d all likely die within a week or so if I don’t prioritize that. Sounds incredibly sad and lonely

  • As a serious note though, on a micro enough scale, everything will become bumpy/not a single linear thing. On a macro enough scale it would be impossible to determine variation and appear flat.

In a common human sense, many things are flat and linear to normal human perception. Many crystal and metal formations have flat, straight, and sharp features.

And something theorized to be existing and straight would be (iirc) the planck length. Light so energized that the wave becomes essentially linear (please verify because this is memory only)

  • Okay! Can do!

Defnitions: Flat (adjective), My chest. Example My chest was flatter than an angle measured at 180°

Straight (adjective) anything that has perfect parallelism to my chest. (See notes)

Notes (Straight): Straight cannot be used as an adjective to describe my sexuality.

  • Something to consider in regards to honesty, is tact. There’s no reason to lie, but also no reason to be abrasive. It is something I struggle with myself and how I use words.

An example of tact could be someone has bad breath your response could be: “Your breath smells like shit” or “You could use a mint”

The latter will be much better received than the former but neither are a lie and present the issue. Saying things as definitive I’ve noticed also comes across as harsh even if you are 100% certain of something. I don’t fully grasp communication in that way but I’ve gotten better once I’ve recognized it and it has helped my interactions. Perhaps it could aid yours.
