Right?! I finally fell asleep at 2 and got up at 5 and went out(I’ve wanted to do an early morning run for a long time) but as soon as I got moving I didn’t feel sleepy or tired at all

Thanks, it’s crazy that it stayed low, I only managed 3hrs of sleep the night before running

I know! And tbh it really didn’t feel like 3 hrs, time goes by a lot quicker than you think
But before that I’ve done leg press and calf raises and the like, some stationary bike. Free weight with barbells really scared me because I don’t want to mess up my back with bad form. Like it scared me to the point that I’d get under the bar and I start shaking because I don’t want to mess up. But now I can under there and do it, it’s just my legs are really tight and it gets hard getting down into a low squat
For reference I started lifting with machines first, because injury with the barbells scared the hell out of me, and then one day I was in there alone and finally tried it and it wasn’t too bad, I’ve just got really tight hamstrings
The first leg I’ve done in 7 years was friday. Before that I was just running 4 days a week(easy run, tempo, interval, and long run). I have huge legs but trying these different compound movements makes me realize how weak I am
I mean I get about 6-7hrs daily. My work schedule makes things hard, and then with overtime being unpredictable it’s hard
Well I’ve been going for about 4 months but I was only doing speed training on the treadmill, I starting lifting about 3 weeks ago. I try to get 2 days at least of squats but it’s getting hard
Same. Got my steam deck week before last. It really cut into my running time.
Dude! Same, I lose confidence for some reason and have anxiety about running but as soon as I just do it I feel better. It just feels like climbing a mountain sometimes to just get started again.
Yeah that could be it, I usually run from my house due to time constraints, (I work 11am to 11pm). I’d love to find somewhere to do some trail running
Thanks I appreciate it. I’m trying my best to take it as easy as I can. Just trying not to aggravate my knee. Hoping to get back out there Wednesday after next. Doc told me 2 weeks
Oh yeah definitely. I usually run/walk. I try not to jog, because of how hard the impact is on my knees. When I did interval running(sprint for so long, then walk for so long) I never hurt this bad. And because my running doesn’t make me hit the pavement as hard I never had issues. It was when I went to jogging that everything hurt. But I’m definitely gonna do some walking lightly to stretch and keep things moving.
It is, the app itself is not so bad. A lot of people on Reddit hate the watch and the app but so far with my use these last few months it’s been very nice, all my data lined out nicely, easy to read.
