Garbage low information and delusional post. I’d suggest anyone visit to move on.
In this case they suspect there were a number of features on the yacht that contributed to its sinking. It had the world’s tallest aluminum mast, a retractable keel and large openings for windows and hatches all over the main deck that were most likely unsecured at the time.
They suspect she was knocked down by high winds or a water spout. Sailboats get knocked down all the time but all the factors I listed above may have contributed to her being unable to right herself quickly and subsequently filling with water.
Well blacks do have higher arrest rates in the UK so it would follow they would also have higher incidences of being strip searched.
I mean it was the Palestinians who first took Israelis hostage in October. Turn about is fair play in war.
Peter Dutton has the right idea. I’d vote for him.
There is a rumor that a coup had placed Xi under house arrest and had silently taken over the country a few weeks ago. Normally rumors don’t mean anything in most countries. But this is China where anyone speaking out against their leader would mean you’d get “disappeared”.
Supposedly the coup plotters don’t like the direction China has taken and want a return to good relations with the West when everyone was making money.
Moving away from relations with Russia could be a sign of this.
lol, no the “Free” market you refer to does not work that way.
Yep, but the CCP is involved and is actively tilting the market in their companies favor.
Western Democracies don’t have to honor the free market if the CCP does not.
The CCP strategically cornered the market in more than a few critical areas for EV production. Individual Western firms are not able to compete with a well funded and coordinated effort by a state actor to control every stage of the production process.
On top of that the real estate crisis China has caused local consumption to crater. The means that China is looking to the West for markets to dump their over capacity.
No country is going to sit idly by while their industrial base is directly threatened especially in a critical area such as green tech. Especially by an openly hostile power such as China.
After that vote I will enjoy seeing the shareholders should get exactly what they voted for.
Shhhh let him cook.
Exactly what we are currently doing. Provide an incentive for free and fair elections. If the election is proven to be stolen then I’d assemble a coalition of local forces to oppose Maduro. Hopefully backed up by other regional players.
Otherwise you’ll see more aggression from dictators like him. Venezuela getting aggressive with more than one regional neighbor like Guyana could be the outcome if Maduro isn’t checked.

Nah homie, there is just no other country in the world that can project power at the distance and scale that the US can. Not our fault y’all are weak AF.
Not at all what I said.
But the fact that you automatically implied that is what it means, is the reason the USAs word carries some weight internationally.
We speak softly and carry a big stick.
Nah, the US should take point on this. If your goal is to get nothing at all done, then fine let AP and international organizations handle it.
If you want accountability and consequences then the US will need to get involved.
Thanks for the first hand account. It sounds just like how crime in the US is sensationally portrayed. The reality is even in some of our worst cities like Chicago, violent crime is usually between criminals themselves and usually within a few neighborhoods that everyone else avoids. Your average middle class family in the suburbs isn’t really affected.
I answered all of your questions, yet once again you fall back on downplaying the seriousness of the crimes they were planning.
Putting “XD” at the end of every one of your statements doesn’t make them pithy, smart or relevant. It just shows me you’re pedantic to the point that you can’t string together a coherent argument without leaning on whatever the current zeitgeist is.
Hopefully the law will prosecute those activists and put them away for a long, long time.
“doesn’t require prosecutors to demonstrate intent or malice aforethought.”
The protesters displayed all of the traits you mentioned. By conspiring and planning to commit unlawful actions. The protesters displayed intent to break the law detain/disrupt the travel of innocent bystanders (illegal in itself) and potentially endangering their lives in the process (super duper illegal).
Highway engineers can be charged with manslaughter if they display willful ignorance, intent to break the law or have demonstrated that they were deceitful in acquiring a position they were not accredited for. Generally speaking that is very hard to prove in court especially when dealing with a large corporation with legions of lawyers to back them up. Hence why it is rare.
It is not so hard to prove with a dozen or so activists who have a history of such actions which are wildly unpopular and illegal. Hence why they are charged.
But there are examples such as the recent Boeing 737 Max disasters where criminal culpability for engineers and managers have been proven. I’d argue the punishment or rather the settlement isn’t enough in this particular case, but that wasn’t your question. Your question was why aren’t they charged.
I can’t pinpoint when Reddit died in my eyes. But I can say the long road to where it is today started with Reddit Gold.
Reddit Gold was a minor change that didn’t do much of anything besides offer a way to collect money directly from the user base. But it was the start of monetizing the site and every decision by Reddit management after that point furthered that monetization at the expense of everything else.
