I won’t mess with plumbing again after trying to replace my kitchen faucet only to discover that the shutoff was old and busted the moment I turned the knob, leading to water spraying out everywhere. Called in a plumber to fix it and it took him several hours to resolve–no chance I had the knowledge, skills, and tools to fix that.
Me neither. How long till old.reddit.com goes away? That was supposed to be the next big spike in the Lemmy growth curve.

Even though I owned a Dreamcast, I somehow missed Ecco ever being released for it. Reading up about the game, it looks like a fun time.
Never got to play Kolibri but Ecco was the shit for its time. I’m bummed no one ever made an updated version on more powerful systems. The 32X version was just the Genesis version with a bigger color pallette if memory serves.

Mine dropped from like 35 to 2 for most of yesterday but bounced back up to where it should be today. Looks like it was a temporary glitch in the system.
r/NBA was a mess at the best of times but at least it didn’t have that idiotic Twitter requirement that r/NFL does for news posts.
That said, I hope Lemmy sports communities start becoming popular. I don’t need every post to have 10,000 comments but a solid discussion would go a long way towards keeping me off Reddit for good.

I was using Reddit mobile to follow some interests that don’t have any communities on Lemmy yet and noticed the obscene number of awards on that ad. How in the world did that happen?
I’m really enjoying seeing the Lemmy communities I follow grow noticeably in just the past few days and hope people stick with it.
You misunderstand–I almost never post on them, but I actually want more Lemmy cat pic communities which provide an endless source of cuteness and entertainment amidst the doomscrolling. But to each their own, of course.
Definitely more prolific thus far considering all the communities I’ve found on Lemmy so far are for hobbies and interests, and not just the slew of assorted cat pic subreddits I was subscribed to on Reddit. I’m sure the latter will come in time though.
That’s certainly one way to begin a social media detox along with Reddit’s idiocy over third party apps. This will make it much easier to ignore Twitter since I deleted my account there and have no intention of signing up again just to view tweets.

As for Prime getting commercials, it’s a good thing Prime somehow manages to have barely any content worth watching where they could possibly insert commercials for me. I’m assuming this will not apply to movies you pay to rent.
