It’s because of bots, in the past there was enough moderation to deal with them plus a larger amount of natural engagement.
Now after the exodus there is significantly less real engagement and much poorer moderation. Those combined allow bots and low effort posting to thrive.

Eternity, also known unofficially as Infinity for Lemmy is another good one. It functions the same as the Infinity for Reddit client but for Lemmy instead. It’s still early in development but it has gotten much more stable.

Games today (also games in the mid 90s) tend to focus on graphics and not as much gameplay, problem with this is that they tend to age poorly, which is why Atari, Famicom, and C64 games are well remembered and still being played to this day but Amiga games aren’t as much, they were primarily designed for graphics and thus look dated today.
It’s also why many Indie games embrace the retro style and game mechanics instead of going for graphical wows. These games are just relevant and enjoyed for longer.

This is such a stupid argument, while you might be able to make the argument about sexual dimorphism in physical sports there’s literally no good reason why a woman shouldn’t be allowed to play chess against a man, or play chess against another woman if they are trans.
Chess is a game based on intelligence and strategy, it’s not based on strength. It seems that this decision was made primarily on the basis of sexism, either because they think that chess is ““manly”” or because they think that men are smarter than women or that women are stupid. Either way not logical, purely sexist.
I know that this comment can be seen as insensitive but honestly, the OP is a terrible person who engaged in abusive practices in their community such as creating toxic posts, abusing their moderator powers to silence any criticism (downvotes included) towards them, and openly threatened the admins of the server because they stepped in and took action against the post which seemed to promote harmful misinformation.
When she was eventually kicked out by another moderator she decided to take to her alt account and tried to foster ill will against that moderator and get them removed. Which ultimately failed.
Recently she has deleted all of her accounts, at least all the ones that are publicly known likely to escape accountability for her horrible behavior.
