I’m pretty sure the answer is no.
I’m pretty sure Crimea wouldn’t like that deal.
That’s a dumb comment. I absolutely support Palestinians
It looks like a prison… Which it is. Have you seen how the US treats terrorists and suspected terrorists in Guantanamo? These guards don’t even have guns pointed at the back of their heads. There’s no waterboarding or torture I’m seeing either. What are you expecting to see at a prison designed to contain and rehabilitate suspected terrorists? It’s not a Disney vacation.
Because the government doesn’t want a terrorist group to continue bombing the shit out of civilians so they reeducate them on not following terrorists. It’s not really a bad thing to want prisoners to be reeducated on not doing crimes.
Arrests aren’t being made against people because they’re Muslim, they’re arresting people that’re suspected terrorists related to The Turkistan Islamic Party. The reeducation is based around not following terrorist groups and rehabilitation of terrorists.
Or you can rehabilitate and reeducate. You know, the thing that they’re doing
The Turkistan Islamic Party keeps attacking civilians in Xinjiang but it seems nobody cares.
“…beef cattle operations with an opportunity to generate offset credits that they can sell.”
This creates a market for selling beef cattle credits. They have to sell the credits to someone. Do you think a company that is also engaging in these incentives would buy the credits? Or maybe the credits would be purchased by companies that aren’t helping the environment? It’s the second one, btw.
What? Government incentives drive company decisions all the time. The US highway system, EV, semiconductors, oil, pretty much every major development in modern society is backed by government incentives.
Big farm companies will engage in “burp reduction,” gain carbon tax credits for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, then sell them to fossil fuel companies for a huge profit. Any minor benefit immediately becomes a net negative for the environment overall.
Wrongo. Carbon emissions are nowhere near as damaging to our continued life on earth as much as the waste dumping that’s destroying the oceans. So this is a minor issue on the lesser issue of climate change. The only reason anyone cares about carbon emissions is because carbon tax credits are a huge market. No one is discussing how to stop dumping waste.
Because many companies are making minor, cheap solutions so they can sell carbon tax credits. Many green projects are just another profit generation scheme. Very rarely is any real change being worked on.
Whatabout a better argument? This is like worrying about a guy smoking a cigarette while the town is burning down.
What a minimal issue. They should focus instead on how to not ship they’re garbage to other countries to throw it in the ocean.
What rock are you living under? The IDF straight up has admitted to bombing other hospitals.
I don’t understand why it’s so important that the IDF defend that they didn’t bomb this hospital and yet they openly praise their bombings of all the other hospitals. Even if it’s true and this hospital was blown up by a misfire, what about all the other hospital bombings? Those are fine to the IDF?
So, you don’t care about the people or how they feel about anything? So when the people in Crimea felt they were being treated unfairly by the Ukrainian government, they should’ve just put up with it instead of standing up for themselves? With that attitude, the US would still be a British territory.
A majority of Russians rose up in opposition against the Ukrainian government during the Ukrainian revolution in support of Russian annexation. You can’t just ignore that a large number of people in Crimea were onboard with annexation.
Seems like a good time to lift the embargos so they can fix their infrastructure.
