It is.
But both of our ruling parties are 100% Pro-Israel. This is not a problem that will be solved by the US.
Doubtful, but one can hope.
About damn time someone did something that isn’t strictly symbolic to start holding Israel accountable, even something so minor as this.
People changing their minds in response to new information is a positive thing
I still hope their toilet seat is perpetually too cold for their comfort.
Ask them if they know what udm=14 means.
Thanks for the rec. I certainly will. :)
I own like 10 games and have another 10 apps downloaded. (Mostly VR documentaries) The games I do have are b-b-bonkers awesome, like Vader Immortal, and I really like the VR haunted houses I own. The documentaries are my favorite, because it feels time-travel adjacent to wander through Pompeii or fly a WWII bombing raid over Berlin.
Most of the time, however, I log on and play the minigames in Meta Horizons or watch a VR concert or sporting event, and those are a lot of fun.
But yeah, definitely niche and needs a few more years of growth in the library dept, and I’m very glad I got my headset on Black Friday for $250 instead of shelling out the big bucks for a Quest 3.
There aren’t a ton of good quality apps available for Meta headsets either.
I like mine a lot and there are a few games that come out every month, but it’s not like a regular console.
If you use corporate social media, be it TikTok, YouTube, FB, Twitter, or whatever, your feed is programmed to feed you content that will do two things:
Politics achieves that for the largest number of people, therefore the algorithm is feeding that to you. It’ll keep most people clicking on ads.
This same thing is happening in Kansas City, where the city’s been building a streetcar system the last five years. The suburbanites spent a ton of money trying to get residents to vote it down, but we like having better public transit, so it got expanded instead.
There is a disenshittified version of google out there, for now at least: udm14.com.
Every time I’ve used it, it’s for info on a home improvement project. Being that my browser blocks ads, they get nothing from my interactions.
This is the way.
I deleted a year ago and can count on one hand the number of times I’ve used reddit since.
Of course.
I just turn off my socials for a bit and it’s all good.
Yes you can, and should, ignore how crummy the world is sometimes. Outside of the good you can do with your own two hands, there’s nothing you can do to change it unless you’re a billionaire and a legislator will actually take your phone calls.
I’ve used reddit like 3 times since.
I don’t miss it one bit.
I love it.
Scramble it all. I’d do the same if I hadn’t deleted mine a year ago.
Sorry for being so doom and gloom on a Saturday morning.
I just look at our two presidential candidates and it breaks my heart to know that nothing is going to stop the incoming validation of fascism.
For now.
Come November the only good we’re going to be capable of is that which we do with our own two hands.
It was a fun find, and I love the variety. Some of the sites are dumb fun. Some are games and puzzles. Others are just something completely different.
