As far as I know while “fucking up” can be used in cases of accidents it generally implies culpability and that is the way in which I intended to use it.

Man I honestly kind of miss MBFC. I know it’s biased but for a source like “The Moscow Times” a quick glance would be perfect to tell me if this is russian propaganda or a legitimate news site.
