This sounds very close to the description of the US in this very moment. From an outsiders perspective China seems to be doing about as good and bad as the US all things considered.

So often it’s waterfall planning and execution with agile names for roles and meetings.
This is on me for sure that I’ve never seen anyone be faster using a CLI compared to a GUI especially for basic operations which is what most of us do 95% of the time. I know there are specific cases where a command just does it better/easier but for me that’s not the case for everyday stuff.
I know I’m going to get down voted for this but this would be almost impossible to fuck up with a gui. Yet people insist that writing commands manually is superior. I’m sorry for your loss.
Genuine question, how would mass vs volume change the answer?
The older I get the less I care about endless gameplay loops and carrot on a stick mechanics. A good story keeps me invested and caring about what happens on the screen. Games like God of War, Last of us, Witcher are gold standards when it comes to this. They are not movies on rails, they are engaging and interactive experiences like you can’t find anywhere else and for this I will always love these types of games more than any other medium.
Edit: OP literally mentioned these games as examples lower down in the thread.
They were so fucking elitist in the past it was hard for anyone else to enjoy themselves because they did not fit the mold of tRuE gamers.
Not trying to take the side of any one in this conflict since it seems to be such a complete cluster fuck, just trying to understand. How does one go from terrorists attack and kill civilians, take hostages and hide behind other civilians, get attacked indiscriminately by Israel as response, turn into Israel is just looking to expand and conquer just like 40s Germany?
At least for cars sold in Europe often times they are still being assembled within the European Union even if in cheaper markets, so protections are still in place and strong. But cars are made of millions of components manufactured all over the world so there’s always at least some human suffering somewhere along the chain.
I have the type that is basically a little shower head with a hose attached to the water supply next to the toilet. We use it to wash with soap after every toilet visit and it is fantastic. When I am away from it on holidays or trips I suffer.
Tldw: Hank Green video.
Oh my god dude. I want to subscribe to your newsletter. Great post!
Maybe I overreacted, but the person that was shitting on China themselves seemed to just spout US propaganda talking points, when in reality both have huge issues and also their good parts.
If I had to chose, I’d lean in the US’s favor overall, but not by much, thankfully I don’t live in either of them.
