How is that functionally different from finding or creating a different subreddit? On reddit if you got banned from a subreddit, you could just join a different subreddit about the same topic.

but without the politics and without being overly-policed
Lemmy doesn’t really do anything to address either of these.
I voted for Obama but that is an ugly suit.
I’ve been using FitNotes for years
The first name that came to mind was Thomas Sowell
That’s great and all, but there’s a lot of things people can do that will help climate change and save them money.
God I fucking hate this comment. Yes the poster could have just googled it. But you know what? I had never thought about what’s in those towers. So I clicked on the topic to come to the comments and learn something. Instead I find your snarky worthless comment that contributes even less than the OP. Asking questions on here is a way to share curiosity and foster discussion. And lemmy needs more content, not less. So I hope no one takes your comment to heart.
We can’t measure in feet or inches because it would be ambiguous about how wide to make it
Adam Savage has a ruler tattooed on his arm. So I’d guess if it works on an arm it works on a finger.
Or the kids? It was terrible for their education and social development. Hard to weigh the pros and cons there.
Jan 6th is probably a good example of how the elite would react. Everyone involved would be located, prosecuted, and locked up.
Real answer? Society doesn’t care about problems that only effect men.
A well known physics experiment that shows light is both a particle and a wave.
If you fire a laser at a piece of paper with two slits cut in it, you would expect the laser to show up as two lines on the other side, but it ends up displaying a much more complex pattern because the photons bounce off each other like ripples in a pond.
The freaky part is if the experiment is repeated by firing only one photon at a time, it still produces the interference pattern.
I’m not a chemist/physicist, but if I had to guess it’s because it takes more energy to break apart the water into Hydrogen than what you will get by burning the Hydrogen to power the motor.
I of course mean after the murderer has served their sentence.
How is it at even legal to employ him anywhere where he will have contact with women?
If it was illegal for someone to get a job where they could come in contact with 50% of the population you’re just setting them up for failure. What about murderers? Should they be prevented from having a job where they interact with anyone because there’s a chance they’ll kill them?
People see themselves in the mirror pretty often, so they have a general idea of how they appear to other people. But they don’t hear their own voice regularly unless they record themselves and listen to it, so it’s more of a surprise when they do hear their own voice.
I alternate every set. Although if I’m going for 1 rep-max I always do dominate hand (right) over and non-dominant under. It just feels stronger that way.
