So sky news uk and sky news Australia are different. I wish news corp would disintegrate for my convenience.
I don’t think Google has control over the direction of Firefox, but I like your spirit!
Google makes little money in Russia and they pulled the overwhelming majority of their equipment and people out of the country. Russia doesn’t care to offer external websites. Update chrome to offer Tor out of the box while you can and ignore the fine entirely.
Tangentially related- I fucking hate discord
Out of curiosity, what’s the utility in this? Is it meant to be a toy of sorts?
It seems no worse than any other online marketplace now
True and incredibly distressing.
I’ve wondered whether that is sincerely the idea. Not sex slaves but simply outbreeding democrats and instilling culture war rhetoric. Handmaid’s tale eventually made manifest.
2016 was the beginning of the end. Constant propaganda posts, hijacked subreddits, lack of admin action on hate speech and occasionally even active propagation. An absolute shit show and the acceleration toward free fall. I do not miss 2016 Reddit.
Well, no. I’m just looking for workarounds and finding none. Describing an expandable embedded thumbnail may confuse people, depending on their browser of choice so I opted for the most universal description of a successfully fetched post that I could muster.
Yes, it’s very possible to embed in the body of the post but the header is just a link. Unfortunately, Lemmy just doesn’t seem interested in fetching the giffeos to embed for the folks looking to doomscroll. I’m upset that streamable isn’t fetched either, but less so. I actually had the links in the body of my post ![opened]() at first in order to make my question more explicit but it made this post nigh unreadable.
I had some fun playing with the title to see whether I could get it to display any markdown and was surprised at how much it could offer. No links in the title, though. Lemmy devs cleaned that.
My issue is that nothing wants to play unless it’s in the body of my post, whereas I intend to offer it embedded beside the title. I found another source and created a third, but all of them are just links and nothing is fetched by Lemmy. Uploading to Lemmy also doesn’t work as Lemmy doesn’t host .mp4 videos, so I decided to convert it to a .gif to post later. I do declare, this has been a most frustrating issue.
Weeeeird, I tried .mp4 and it didn’t play. I’m not sure what I did wrong but thank you!
I just think overt idiosyncrasies and exaggerated awkwardness are funny, and greentexts are far and away the best source for both. However, I’d be lying if I said that seeing the community inch toward intolerance, despite every opportunity to stay kind, didn’t cause me to post less.
Reddit’s site traffic has just gone up that much. Especially if you include bots posting constantly in their SEO subreddits that admins are aware of and indifferent to.
The first time /r/place was offered was markedly different from the others. The first was a free-for-all hellfest for a long while where organization wasn’t even secondary or tertiary to the experience. Then came the age of “reason” and brands and flags sprouted up, obliterating any semblance of originality with an uninteresting mob of paint rollers. The second go around, there was nothing new, everything was pre-planned and strategically plotted, and genitals were a big no-no. To answer your question, novelty and the spontaneous lack thereof. Freedom and the spontaneous lack thereof.
Conservatively, if several thousand forks appear, they may hire an additional person and cost themselves a couple hundred thousand. Given your point, there must be a more effective way to be an attrition-based nuisance.

Neither here nor there, but how typical is it to turn on notifications for a medium size discord server? Would you consider it?
As grim as it might be, transplants are handled by apathetic, risk averse math and little else. Loose organs and surgeons are far from common.
