I have good (I hope) UI skills, as in, I am good at designing good looking frontends. How do I apply to design the join.lemmy page?

You can’t do that, the fediverse and Lemmy software doesn’t work that way.

Even if what you’re saying is true, and nowhere exists on Earth where there is a high quality of life, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t aim to get there.
