This kind of got brushed under the rug, but you might remember that China claimed they were both spy’s. The Canadian government denied this. Then it turns out kovrig was a spy, and he was accused of using the other Michael for espionage activity without his knowledge. That Michael, spavor, sued the Canadian government. Any act you’ve been told is a terrorist act by those two organizations was very likely legal under international law. Israel is an occupying force. People are legally allowed to fight that force through violence.

They prop up prices in a lot of ways, the first one that comes to mind is extending the length of a mortgage. That makes housing both more affordable, but also makes the banks a lot more money.
We have all of our eggs in that basket. Also, I went to an affordable housing conference in 2018. At that point, Canada was in crisis. Prices are much higher now
Thanks… There’s a lot of reasons why this analogy isn’t going to last now because supply and demand is grade school economics. Check out all of the ways government is subsidizing construction of units. And how does it work when a company is selling units, but they have to have an increase in revenue quarter over quarter? They can’t suddenly sell for less. Otherwise stock price will fall and executive’s will have to take parachutes. Government doesn’t want all these companies to fail, so they prop up the prices. This thing is far too complicated for supply and demand economics. Anyone selling that has invested in real estate
Supply and demand doesn’t begin to explain Canadian housing issues. If I have 10 apples that i sell $1/piece, I’m not going to start selling them at $.75/piecewhen I get 30 apples.
I remember being blown away by some of the games back then, and also disappointed that it wasn’t a more popular console.

I’m struggling with everything on this article. On the one hand anytime a hostage has been freed, that’s good news. On the other, at what cost. 40 000 dead. That’s the easy stat. Amputations are also incredibly high. Most of them kids and performed without anesthetic. This is the first time the IDF has rescued hostages. So I’m sitting here with my initial feeling of ‘oh, that’s good news’ ,and then I think about the wider picture and context, and it doesn’t seem so good anymore.
The US needs an extreme clean up in the government. Unfortunately, it’s going to be harder to do every election that it doesn’t happen
