How do they receive feedback about their evolutionary experiments? How do they know it worked/failed.
They’re not performing experiments, mutations are random and they either help the plant survive/reproduce, make it harder to do so, or have no appreciable effect. If it helps the plant, more of them will survive and reproduce, meaning more of the plant with that mutation will be more common. If it hurts, then it will be less common.
Yeah, at this point “Engineer” and “Developer” are 100% synonymous in the industry.
Ehhhh, depends on how your titles work, and I would argue that’s at least a little odd. Most senior engineers I know are ~50/50 code/oversight, at worst. Once you get to Principal or Staff, though, you’re lucky if you write 50 loc/week.
Senior rarely translates to something like architect anymore, it’s at least a level or two up from there.
I’d say it’s closer to the rule than the exception, but is closer to the middle than either of them.
Yes, a lot of addicts - most, probably - just shift their addiction to something else (hopefully something healthier), but that’s in no way universal.
Add onto that… the waters get real muddy when you start defining addiction. Is it still addiction if it’s good for you? Like, if I can’t get through a week without some celery, would people even call me an addict? If I can’t start my day without a run, would anyone ever think to say I have a problem?

Real news-worthy 🙄 that’s effectively 0, as far as Tik-Tok views go.
If you don’t have strong opinions one way or the other, then docker is the easy answer. Way, way more widespread, which generally tends to mean better docs, more guides and examples, more tooling and open-source support…
I would think that in general it comes down to understanding what “ownership” is and that it has been taken from us, replaced with “licensing”
Your mistake is thinking that the average person
It’s wild, because it used to be that you bought a movie and it didn’t matter that the rights ran out you could still watch your fucking movie in your own home.
I understand the concern and I’m sure it does happen, but I have literally never heard this complaint from a single person that I actually know. What movies/services has this actually happened to?
No argument against anything you said related to copyright laws, just to be clear.
Some real old-man-yells-at-cloud vibes coming from this comment
Needing help doesn’t make you a bad person - do it. If it makes them think less of you, them they weren’t very good friends anyway.
Everyone struggles at times. Anyone can fall on hard times. That doesn’t make you a piece of shit, it makes you unlucky - especially when it’s for medical reasons!
That’s just how moderation works. People suck, the platform doesn’t really matter in that sense.
