I went to a private Catholic school and we didn’t have a dress code. They’re not that common in Europe.

According to German news (source) girls already had to defend their choice of wearing an oversized sweater and long skirt. That’s going way too far in regulation in my opinion.
To me it sounds like he’s downplaying the results of alcohol addiction and saying that nicotine addiction is much worse. And that’s simply not the case. Abusing nicotine can lead to cancer and other illness. Abusing alcohol will inevitably lead to liver failure.
Would you like me to tell you in detail how my mother died from alcohol?
As long as it doesn’t infringe on anyone’s rights people should be free to wear whatever they like without being harassed. Plus too much sun heightens the risk of skin cancer so covering up is actually the smart choice.
This is not what this article is about though. They targeted huge cars in one of the most affluent areas in one of the biggest cities in Germany. We have very reliable public transport and about two days of snow per year. It is totally unnecessary to drive an SUV here. I do understand some people needing a big car for work but ferrying your kids around is easily managed using public transport here.
I’m going to assume that you don’t know this so I’m gonna let you know: the targeted area is one of the most expensive to live in in Hamburg. And I’m going to repeat myself. Almost nobody in Hamburg needs an SUV.
They didn’t slash the tires, they just let the air out. No damages.
In the areas of Hamburg that have been targeted not one single person needs an SUV. We have reliable public transport that’s easily accessible to wheelchairs or strollers as well. So yeah, it did target the right people.
Well, the animal didn’t escape from a zoo or circus. They don’t know where it’s from yet. It’s legal to keep a lion as a pet in Brandenburg.
I have no issues with veganism but I do have issues with being attacked because I’m not vegan. I’ve been attacked for using cow milk even after explaining that I can’t use plant milk because of sensory issues.
Funnily enough, just like you said, I know vegans IRL who would never behave that way and of course I accommodate their dietary choices when I’m in charge of food.
I think it’s mostly an Internet thing when you just see the loudest minority instead of the more quiet majority.
