From what I have read, Muslims, Christians, Jews coexisted peacefully, regularly doing business and relaxing together, when it was just Palestine, before Israel existed.

I see this correlated by American killer cops being applauded by vast swaths of our public. Religion can certainly inflame situations, and until we take control of the narrative from our rich overlords and their media lackies, it will continue. They have more interest in keeping us angry, afraid, confused and divided (and fighting each other) than bringing is together and seeking sensible, peaceful resolutions. I wonder whatever interest could that possibly be?

It’s odd you mention jingoism, because I was surely thinking about jingoism and revanchism in this context, over the last couple of weeks.
