Man your reading comprehension is really low.

If I do it straight after the constructor, then definitely but if I get distracted by something else then it’s only probably until I run it through valgrind and see the leak. These days, I mostly use smart pointers in new code though so there are fewer opportunities to need a destructor. It’s funny that I never forget when opening a file or db connection!
The compiler will still generate one. It won’t be any use but it will be generated :)
Yeah the compiler generates it so it’s always there
There’s always a destructor though. It may do nothing but it’s there.
That is Beverly Crusher played by Gates McFadden
Feds have found a way to hack rust /s?
It’s enterprise design that sucks, often it’s written in Java - Hello World
I agree, but it’s really not scary
That’s not scary. The trick when dealing with that kind of review is to parse out the technical and not take the rest personally, which maybe takes a certain kind of personality.
Why is he scary?
Flouncing off is about the drama of leaving, not the time served before doing so. You can be in a role for decades and then flounce off!
If you mean the drama I’m thinking off, that seemed to me to be a guy taking on a role that was always going to be 90% political because people are resistant, and sometimes downright hostile, to change and then flouncing off when it was 90% political.
If you do decide to go the web route, I recommend Build Responsive Real-World Websites with HTML and CSS and The Complete JavaScript Course 2024: From Zero to Expert! as a good starting point. Being Udemy, you don’t have to pay full price. If they don’t have a sale on now, they will fairly soon. The courses are worth full price though!
Documentation, bug triage and many other non technical tasks
Don’t change the documentation, change the code to make them line up.
Unless the documentation is wrong
Some people just need to be offended
It can do back ends with django and flask but the only choice for front ends is javascript or something like htmx
This course is good
My all-time favourite programming language was a dialect of BASIC. HiSoft BASIC on the Atari ST.
