I absolutely love PSO. Still play Blue Burst on Ephinea from time to time.

It’s too bad PSO2 turned into what looks like your typical shitty MMO. It was really fun back in 2012-ish on the SEA servers with the fan translation patch.

I’ve seen fonts on all kinds of filesharing sites like Mediafire etc. But archive.org feels like a good bet for some kind of longevity. As for making it findable, I’m afraid I can’t think of any advice.
Yeah, I’m in a similar spot with After Effects. I think there’s just nothing out there that comes even close for motion graphics, except maybe Blender. I simply haven’t taken the time to learn it.
By pure coincidence I found a font just last night that I had been searching for, on and off, for years—on archive.org of all places. Kind of funny that you came back and replied to my comment today in your post about fonts 😄

This is just off the top of my head from a bit of experience in KSP, but depending on the thrust-to-weight ratio of the engines, it would probably be able to take off, but you’re right, it wouldn’t win any fuel economy awards.
Actually I doubt any material could stand that kind of wing loading, and the aerodynamics would probably be all kinds of fucked. Pretty apt analogy for a beginner developer.

I use Adobe CuckCloud at work on my boss’ subscription. For personal stuff I have the Affinity suite. I know it’s also proprietary, but it’s a one-time purchase, and more importantly, not Adobe.
Man I tried using Inkscape to make a small icon and it took me maybe 30 mins to do something that would have taken less than two minutes with Illustrator. I know there’s a learning curve to all software, but my experience was very bad. Pretty much every hotkey I wanted to use was different from its Illustrator counterpart. And even looking past that, the interface was horribly laggy on my machine. I have no idea what made the UI refresh at like 20fps but tolerating it was untenable for me.
I’ll probably try it on another computer, and remap the hotkeys I use the most. If/when I eventually ditch Windows for Linux, I’ll need something that works, since Affinity’s stuff is Windows + Mac only.
Could they not just (in Illustrator) use the type tool for the characters they want and convert each character to paths? No tracing required!

On the first point, you’ve convinced me. I wasn’t thinking about the context of the phrase. After factoring that in, it makes more sense the way you put it.
But I’m still stuck on the second one. I don’t disagree with the way you explained it, but for some reason I can’t reconcile your reasoning with my intuition. Unfortunately, the only way I can rationalize it is by gesturing broadly toward older literature, from the early 20th century. There’s something about the artistic style people used that I’ve always found beautiful, and my usage of “not one”, to me, kind of fits. I admit it makes no logical sense, but in my mind it feels as correct as anything else.
Regardless, I’ll consider your logic next time I use “none” because you’re definitely not wrong about it.

It should be “…one in 10 residents is…”
People seem to forget how to conjugate after three words. Similarly, all too often I read something like, “None of these things are…” I don’t have an English degree, but in my mind parsing that phrase is like nails on a chalkboard.
For the 0 of you still reading, a tip: You can omit certain parts of the sentence - and expand others - to test how the subject-verb pair sounds.
“None of these things are…” -> “Not one of these things are…” -> “Not one are…” Wtf??

I didn’t even think that it would vary by state (of course it does), and I should have checked my state’s law, but this community was made for a reason after all 🤷♂️
