I’ve never felt a greater pull to donate to anything.

There better be. Charcoal is semi-burnt wood. Coal is effectively ‘solid’ oil. Cooking with regular coal would be horrible.
I’m not spending much time on Reddit these days but in no way is this the end for Reddit. The VAST majority of the user base just doesn’t care. We may see more users trickling in and Lemmy is sure more ready now than ever but people are so used to being advertised to, that this won’t be a big issue long term. People are dumb.
I’m pretty sure I’m Chaotic Evil with 2x 1920x1200, 2x 1024x1200, a 1920x1080 and one 1366x768 but I don’t run any vertical anymore, so maybe not?
It’s a difficult spot to be in, and clearly Putin’s fault, but are these countries grain farmers supposed to go under because they can’t ship the grain out the normal terminals?
People in 3rd world countries are depending on calories grown in this part of the world to literally survive, so there’s no easy answer here.
Now I wanna know what drama?
Is it really unclear? If you had never heard of a product, you would much less likely purchase it. If Coke stopped advertising today, they’d start a very slow but real loss of market to it’s competiton, be it Pepsi or whatever. Note that a LOT of advertising is not for you. It’s for the corporate buyer at name your favorite restaurant so that they think that they’ll get more consumers in the door because they have Coke products, as opposed to some other brand.
I’m still rocking my 3rd gen. The biggest problem is actually that my eyes are starting to have a heard time reading it in lower light. A little larger screen like on the newer models would be nice, but there’s not really any groundbreaking updates to drive me to upgrade. Battery life is still pretty good for a 6 ish year old Device.

I was part of the great Digg migration. I won’t say that I’ve sworn off Reddit completely, but I will say that I start here on Lemmy. The volume of content on Reddit is still so huge compared to Lemmy that it is likely to take a lot longer than the mass switch that I was sort of hoping for away from Reddit.
Hit the lawyer, facebook up and delete the gym. Or something like that.
Bummer that the list isn’t available. It’d be nice to see if anyone I know is on the list.
I’m surprised that there are Russian air assets that aren’t being pulled to their western front. That said, there are surely plenty of Russian naval assets that can’t really help much in Ukraine.
Had Putin only attacked the small areas that might actually side with him (there do appear to be some areas where historically Russians live in Ukraine) and fought just Azov he MIGHT Have gotten away with it. Attacking the larger area and Kiev was a mistake imo.
Correct. Good catch.
Lemmy was here before Reddit and it’ll be around for a long time.
As a non-coding user on TestFlight / Memmy, I feel bad sending in errors and functionality requests, because I assume that the devs are busy people, and I’m just happy that they’re working on things. This stuff is all SO new that I can’t imagine it’s anything other than a passion project to produce an app like this.
Hate to break it to you, but they just moved to the USA and started calling themselves Republicans.
