Awesome, thank you for the update.
Awesome, thank you for the update.
For a while when I had trailers enabled on Plex I would put the anti-piracy one up lol
I 100% agree, but is there any way we could kind of keep working to phase out retarded from common vocabulary. It’s just such a charged and unnecessary word to use as a pejorative.
This is going to be like Robinhood all over again. It’s going to go public. It’s going to shoot up in valuation, insiders are going to sell, and then it’s going to crash back down.
To add, the podcast is phenomenal. Definitely worth listening to as well
Oh hey! Actually I did find a news article. I was curious if I could https://medium.com/@divitia/what-are-plex-shares-why-they-were-banned-f5a43735ffbb
Edit. Just finished reading it… Eh… “News” might be a bit of a stretch for the article.
I mean the source I have is not really particularly great, Just my first hand account and what I was told about why we were moving to a different system. It was just that I was part of a plex share where all of us were getting banned for it being associated with the the Plex share. So the plex share moved over to using emby.
Our plex share had to move over to emby. And then they were kind of going through in systematically banning people. So a lot of people just got banned for pirated content.
Ahhhh, So this is why they’re really cracking down on banning plex shares.
That was awesome to learn. Thank you.
Thank you so much. My partner is a teacher and just got excited seeing all those ones as well. You made my day!
Ah fuck me. I missed that. He named his AI grok. What a fucking dick.
That sounds dope. I’m putting that on my Kindle right now
Edit: actually I’m having trouble finding it, The book that’s coming up doesn’t sound like it. And the other one that is coming up is a romance about hockey. Do you happen to know the author?
Edit #2: I think I found it, " the light of other days" by Arthur c. Clarke sounds like it might be the book you were talking about.
My brother is literally part of Facebook groups just for arguing politics. It’s like a drug addiction to him. It seems like such a weird use of energy and time. I like being on the fediverse because I feel like I have more genuine actual conversations. And not arguments.
That’s fair. I live in a very rural town
My biggest issue with ebooks in the library, and what led me into more ebook Piracy. Having to wait to check out a digital book. I know the library has to pay like yearly licensing subscriptions to a lot of these books, and it’s just so annoying to me that it doesn’t cover everybody having access to it. I sit on the library board and one thing we’re talking about doing is a graphic novel service for a lot of the youth. And low key, I’m stoked for the graphic novel service too. But that one’s unlimited access.
I agree 100%. I live in Oregon, and without doxing myself too much, the town I live in has some great parent support groups for parents of lgbtqia+ and specifically groups for parents of trans and gender non-conforming children. A group like that might either be a good space or have someone who would be willing to talk with OP. But online most groups have had to be very locked down due to trolls on or hateful individuals.
Holy shit. A 2tb thumb drive? I didn’t know those existed.
My partner is a teacher and we spend around $200 a month just on snacks for their classroom (snacks have to be individually packaged, and there’s 36 kids per class, so that’s 72 snacks a day, Because the kids have a morning snack and an afternoon snack.) Even with donors, choose PTA and other groups. We just know that there’s a certain amount of our income each month that’s going to go too supporting her classroom. It sucks but we have accepted it, because by us not doing that the kids are just going to suffer.
