It doesn’t mean they aren’t informed or that they’re idiots. It’s a silly sticker, but that could really boost the 18-24 vote. I’m all for it.

So, I’d rather them stay and be safe than be right and have them suffer. That was not my recollection of how it was supposed to work or how it worked in practice, but I found an archive of the original guidebook, and it says exactly what you said. Interesting. I got passed up by Donkey Kong and Bowser on straightaways all the time, but maybe that’s more of a mirror mode challenge thing than a size of the karts things.
My recollection was big characters had a higher top speed, but slow acceleration. Small characters were the opposite. Medium characters didn’t excel or suck at either.

Yes, the pattern matching is important. There was a sequel to Contra on PS2 (I think) that my friend and I found pretty hard. We learned the patterns of where to be and where/when to aim. Then, we kicked butt. We turned it up to the hardest setting and didn’t really need to adjust much. So, it ended up being really easy at that point. We loved playing that game after we learned the patterns.

I go the other way and hide the communities I don’t want to see (e.g., I’m not into yiff). I do subscribe to ones I want to see, too, but mostly I view all with some filtered out. New communities are being developed every day and I might miss some with the subscribe method.

It was a total downer. As an adult, I don’t watch that episode anymore. It had some enjoyable content, but I can’t start it because of how bleak it gets. Otherwise, that show is probably among my top 50.
All I can think of is the last episode of the show Dinosaurs. This is the wax fruit factory and the bunch beetles all over again, except with us as the stars of our own show.
