It’s been so surface level, basic and pseudo inspirational for years
The first one is a snes
Cursed portable NES I believe
I mean they’ve got a gun so I’d imagine so
You are part of the problem
No, one part of the fix would be an access policy limited to their network or via VPN. Security is part IT and part dev
The speed at which it takes to make something. We had a vulnerability with a JavaScript library in an old app that I do minimal support on, I said that it only uses like 3 or 4 libraries, so depending on what it is the whole frontend may need to be re-written. IT: “Ok well we have to get that expensed.” Sure bro let me just bill the client that is paying for it and error support 20k for new dev time. Nah, the fix is gonna have to be a workaround on your end, we do not have the bandwidth and they don’t have the capital.
I would love a good pump and dump tbh
I don’t think there’s something as granular as that but you can enable email notifications for any comment or post you make
“Password length requirements: 6 inches”
Guy tries to make an account
“Password requirements not met”
“Bro I swear that’s 6 inches 😢”
Ok but a lot the example images shown here that people are saying are AI images have clearly been edited. People are basically saying something looks off with the faces.
The other people just happen to have a feature that is in a slightly unusual place.
To me this seems like people conflate something feeling off with the image being AI generated
I take issue with this because the devil is usually in the details with ai images and these are all low rez jpgs making it harder to tell with some of these.
I think the joke is more he figured out just enough to get it to do what he wanted it to do
I am very suspicious of that tbh
This is actually happening with certain things that are patented or prohibitively expensive. I.E. insulin. A LOT of more efficient eco-friendly tech has just not been adopted because it’s patented and it wouldn’t be cost effective for companies to switch in our profit driven capitalist hellscape.
I’m not being childish, you’re being ridiculous. This is a library, this is a concept that already exists. You’re thinking too profit oriented, not everything has to be for profit. This is so that people have access to these things now and for generations to come. Copyright laws compromising the internet archive will mean loss of data over the next few generations. There is already so much lost media from the internet era, and so little is being done about it, aside from the awesome efforts of the internet archive.
This isn’t about profits this is about preserving data from our era.
There’s more to this argument but it’s already been said in this thread and I don’t feel like typing it out, and I doubt you’d change your mind anyway.
I’m a dev, and on occasion I like to contribute to FOSS apps. That backfired on you didn’t it?
You realize this is about books right? This is about free and easy access to books. Like a digital library. Don’t be ridiculous.
These are more because they basically fizzled out or the company they were working with decided to stop working with them rather than just shutting down services that people use unlike Google. Once again seems like a Firefox hit piece similar to others that have been cropping up everywhere
