  • It’s not even a shadowban thing. I’ve noticed a lot of subs have hidden requirements for your post to show up in them. If you don’t have enough posts in the sub or your karma isn’t high enough, even if you’re not shadowbanned, your threads just straight up won’t show up… especially if you made a new account recently. But it doesn’t tell you that. It just lets you think that no one cared to look at your post.

I’ve noticed that some subs don’t seem to be this way and my threads will show up regardless of how often I’ve posted there and regardless of my overall karma.

  • I’m guessing it might be because tax rates vary so wildly in the US. Every state has their own percentage of state taxes, and then many counties and cities have their own specific tax rate on top of that.

A company might sell a product nationwide, and it’s easier for them to do national advertising that their product is $100 + local taxes than it is for them to make hundreds upon hundreds of different local ads with a precise dollar amount.

  • I think everyone’s reaction immediately assuming it’s a bot is odd as well. Everyone’s reasoning is just “you can tell by the way it is”. I’m just sitting here like uhhhh.

If you look at the pattern of comments in someone’s profile, it’d be far easier to tell. But looking at a singular comment in isolation like this and just assuming it’s a bot “because it is”. Ok?? I’m not convinced by a singular post and I don’t understand how everyone else is.
