I wish death upon it, but it just won’t die. I guess that’s cuz it’s the only frontend. Or at least the only frontend that allows DOM manipulation.

Lol any
Umm… Keep in mind that I lack experience. Take the following with grain is salt.
I understand your pain with Swing. Not sure how to help other than change to another GUI framework. I think maybe eclipse does thins thing where it allowed me to make code GUI changes. Maybe?
Change GUI framework?
Consider doing a web base where the server does the folder structure?
I know nothing about Dart.
Finally, super personal opinion, but go with C++ and wxWidgets. I love this library.
I’m pretty sure by GUI they mean a WYSIWYG type thing where you drag and drop things into a GUI (meaning user interface) and then you have code. So again WYSIWYG.
Since they mentioned Swing and also there’s a link to the GUI code.
I like GUI code. Meaning I like that they exist. But, also yes, they can get messy.
Does this advice apply in this current job market? I graduated 2021. I was unable to land a job, so then did a boot camp, and after that still ended up in a support role. If I’m unable get dev role, the paper won’t help at all. It will be seen as outdated knowledge.
Though, it might actually work for OP where he finished the degree as the job maker becomes hot. Who knows.
Same lol
Nice video. Do you have an example of a ROM hack or homebrew that can’t run on real hardware? The only limitations there is that you can’t load it because you have limited access to run unofficial software.
Such cool stories. You guys rock… Or are lying lol. I was once working in electronics job. I was running a circuit under test for which we had access to the source code for it. I was amazed by how source code turned into action. Once they out-source my job, I went to get CS degree. And… Now I work what is basically T1 IT
I enjoyed it way too much on my emulator with infinite life.
That’s JavaScript with extra steps.
This reminds me of the one time I bought a 16 pack of 16oz light beer. The bag boy said to the cashier, damn this is 16 pounds of beer. I looked it up after. Fluid oz is not the same as an oz of mass.
For current reddit’s owner, it only needs to last until the IPO. They better hurry before it deteriorates into nothing but a site of bots.
Asking the real questions.
To each their own. But IMO, iPhones are nice. The navigation via swiping is cool. The Android navigation is killing me. That’s a reason I’m considering going back to iPhone. I mean the iPhone just has nicer swipe animation. And this is coming from someone that had android for a long time prior to iPhone 7.
However, the iPhone’s texting is done through Apple’s own network. Which is good or bad depending how you look at it. So while the color is not the issue for me, the color tells me if it’s going through network provider or through Apple’s own network.
I also like that iPhone has a visual voicemail for free. It also goes through Apple’s network. Again, this is good or bad depending how you look at it.
Finally, I’m currently using an Android phone. I just don’t like Apple’s removal of fingerprint sensor. Miss the days where we had tons of phones to select from each with their own unique features.
Once upon a time when backend developer had to wait for their code to compile and frontend developers only had to reload the page to see their latest changes, the frontend developers got jealous. And so they created frontend frameworks with webpack compilation. And that’s how frontend frameworks were born. And now, both sides have to wait for their code to compile.
Maybe something about methane or something who knows. I’m not up to date on this one.
Hard life. Followed by Shit life. Then Extreme shit/hard life. Then Apocalyptic life where resources are scarce because of extreme climate. Followed by extinction? I mean eventually it’s coming.
8.042 billion people that have existed for a fraction of the time the world has existed. I’m just not sure the number is any indicator.
My favorite subreddit migrated to Lemmy.world so that’s how it happened with me.
Document ObjectModel. Think using code to add a JavaScript to make a drodown menu appear like for a navigation bar. That would be manipulation. And I think there’s so much more Angular and React do with DOM that I don’t know enough to explain it.
