As much as I hate it, I still occasionally use fb to message old friends, and instagram to keep up with friends. twitter… used to be for following celebrities but i’ve gone off that since (and if i wanted to, i can do that on insta).

best option is some sort of support agent work which allows remote, but you need steady hours.

second, they protested not just within the office, but in the personal office of one of the higher-ups. If you blockaded your CTO’s office as a means of protesting world hunger, I don’t think that would go well for you either.

I don’t think peertube will succeed in scaling because video streaming and transcoding takes so much more resources to run than lemmy, and I can’t see volunteers doing this for nothing in return in the long run.

Tens of thousands of lemmy users can be hosted on hundreds of dollars per month; I bet it’s 10x more for peertube.

For anyone who still checks reddit, Rdx.overdevs.com is an a mobile-friendly way to browse. No ads and you can still view nsfw subs. You can import a list of subs you follow, but you can’t post (which to me is a feature more than a bug).

Well… I don’t remember but I had about 2 years’ worth of comments across 3-4 accounts (I usually change accounts every few years), so about 6-8 years’ worth of comments.

Just editing the useful comments doesn’t take that long honestly - there were a lot of “hold my axe!” or pun chains that I left as is.

I think reddit is reversing all edits made using powerdeletesuite.

What I did was to sort by comments by top score of all time, and then manually edit the useful ones to paragraphs of gibberish (google “gibberish generator” or something. I left all the snarky comments and low-effort puns alone.

Didn’t take more than an hour
