I actually did do a lot of beat saber, but never got used to any games that had me move around a lot.

Walk scape is super cool, but in closed beta. Might be a thing to keep an eye on.
Android has built in pedometer that has nothing to do with google maps, as it’s not gps based. It’s called google fit.
I thought people would realize it just meant it was a built in Google service.
Not a bad shout, I just want to spend a consistent amount of time each day for the most part. Which isn’t really a thing if I’m going to something like that.
Downloaded!
If I had the ability to self motivate I would not be asking this question I’m afraid.
Hmm I was looking for more passive stuff where I do my walking, then get home and get a cool prize/thing to do, but doing things that actively contribute to a FOSS project is pretty inspiring.
Yeah treadmill based walking is good, which is part of why I like WalkScape, which isn’t gps based and instead just using the google pedometer to check in on your walk.
This is the kinda heat I was looking for!
Looks like a full RPG powered by running.
Gonna give it a try!
No hackathons from my school, I do game jams, and so maybe doing one using only code and not a game engine would be an interesting challenge. Plenty of game jams where the goal is to have the game be like under 10 megs, so straight code is the only way to go.
I work full time while also going to school so no freedom during summer or anything.
I’ll see if any foss projects look interesting!
If I could get an internship that could pay all my bills I would love one. But I have a mortgage as I’m currently 30. I probably don’t have time for college, my full time job, and a part time internship!
If there are any internships paying around 70k a year I mean I’ll start it in a heart beat XD
I used it years ago and it didn’t pay super great, I’ll have her check though and see what it’s like now.
My realtor :(
I was 25 and very overwhelmed by it all.
I love my house, it seems perfect still several years later and I’ve only had to do some minor repairs.
But I’ll get one to make sure no dangers are lurking where me and my handy man can’t see!
I mean 30 year old me recognizes that was a super weird thing to say.
25 year old me felt super over his head anyway.
But I’m getting an inspector! Don’t you fret!
The land it’s on is “currently” more expensive than what I paid for it 5 years ago. Just recently got an appraisal done.
If I tried to buy this house now with my income the bank would laugh at me.
Sorry to anyone who didn’t buy a house pre - covid :(
The housing market was silly for awhile. Lots of homes basically had a clause of “If inspection done, no sale”
Well even the land itself is worth more than I paid, and 5 years of no problems is a great start. But will find a good inspector and see if I really did get that lucky!
Thank you! I wish I could give advice that was relevant to the current time . If I was 24 and didn’t own a home I’d probably be having to do math on buying a 100k home in a super cheap area in a different state. But that would come with other hidden costs like having to own a car, not having access to good medical care, possibly higher crime rate, if I didn’t have a WFH job then finding a job will most likely be a pay cut and if I lost my WFH job I’d have to most likely take a lower paying job, then of course if I wanted to see my family ever I’d have to budget in that…
Ugh. IDK man, I feel awful for people just 5 years younger than me.
Don’t you have to buy an nft and equip it to earn money with that?
