I agree with this. It’s going to take generations to accomplish.

Any ubi experiment will have positive outcomes but when the bi is truly u, you will see inflation in a capitalist system. My hope is we use this knowledge to transition away from the false scarcity of our current systems.
Could not agree more.
If you need an app, Google Tasks is simple enough that it is “like paper”.
I use an app for collection but keep weekly and daily focus lists on a single piece of paper on my desk (top sheet of notebook or whatever).
I find this is a nice combo of quick capture and organized storage with the immediacy and focus paper brings, plus I like writing by hand.
I no longer use obsidian. I found I was messing with it instead of just using it. This is also why I don’t use emacs, etc. I want to get things done, not fiddle with “my system”. I do love it as software, though, so I keep coming here. :)
I moved here as an adult from the east coast so I don’t have to guess. The list of reasons might take a while to write up.
I do love the lack if humidity, if I have to say something nice. :)
Join us in Alberta, we’re dismantling it now!
Note: I am not a fan of the dismantling.
Have you checked out the PARA system?
https://fortelabs.com/blog/para/
I paid for the audiobook and listened to it a few times through (it’s short and dense). Like all systems, I don’t follow it religiously, but it’s a useful base.
I did conclude the boiling point was raised. I was up for a Nobel prize in chemistry but was excluded because of my political leanings.
When I was 14, I was not helping to cure cancer. My science fair project was about salt raising the boiling point of water. :) I’ll give him props but you’re right.
We should assume that has happened.
Capitalism: purchase a snack food conglomerate, lobby to remove sodium from food labels, increase salt in snack foods dramatically, and sell at a loss; this will drive up demand for the desalinated water.
Edit: add HFCS to the food and sell it at a massive profit.
I once heard a guy say “Men have two emotions: hunger and anger.”
Ask they have to do is scale back 1% the first year, 2% the next, etc. The second it looks like a long term investment won’t pay off they’ll stop making them. Then we’ll see supply chain issues slowly increase which will force fleet vehicle purchases over to electric or hydrogen faster.
That will spread into the personal vehicle market.
Demand will reduce for IC vehicles and so on.
You don’t need to make massive changes to have a big impact over time. The problem is every thinking this will get you shouted down by almost anyone with real money.
The thing to do is also incentivize them to invest in the new, growing opportunities but again they want too, but without giving anything up.
You could luck out and really enjoy an epic winter keg party in the Rockies with a bunch of coyotes on the other side of the gorge howling at the full moon. Or whatever.
That’s the minimum I’d require to spend 8-10 hours with a bunch of people on mushrooms who thought I was some kind of tripping expert.
Yes, the realization that this was discussed as if it were statements from the Mexican government instead of to them was a bit of a letdown.
Agreed, it tastes like cauliflower no matter what you do and it’s hard to get the consistency right. We eat low carb but not keto so I’ll occasionally do mashed cauliflower with 1/3 potatoes if we’re having a roast or whatever with gravy.
The best way I’ve found for cauliflower is to air fry it.
Well I guess it’s only if you already like mashed potatoes (also known as pomme puree). Anyway, just an idea. I hope you figure out what works for you.
Don’t cook too much, which means reading up on basic cookery and using a timer.
Top with a decent extra virgin olive oil and salt. This doesn’t have to be expensive, you only need a little. The bottle will be pricey but last a long time.
A trick I used to use when I didn’t like veggies but needed to eat them is to cook them more, puree, and mix into mashed potatoes.
Take a look at the number of people who live in China, then look at their success at reverse engineering and copying technological products, then ask yourself what a couple of thousand of the best engineers they have could do with an unlimited budget and several years. It’s it really inconceivable that they could copy and manufacture this equipment?
It will be nice when Trump has Lavrov over, only allows Russian journalists to cover the meeting, and reveals a bunch of classified info. True patriots want that. Right?
