This is what teenage me thought I’d be doing as an adult.

Instead, I just use a MacBook w/ Apple Silicon and it runs cold AF… …almost… too cold. Ahhh, that cold metal on my legs…

Because I primarily use a laptop, Linux desktop is a no no for me. I spent years trying to get my trackpad to behave as beautifully as it does with MacOS and could never get it.

That alone is enough to drive me off Linux Desktop … For now.

I feel I should be more adventurous. Every weekend comes by and I find myself just being a homebody, pretty much since COVID.

I think the trick is to find a hobby and / or get out be adventurous more often.

Having good friends is helpful, but those are so hard to come by later on in life.

Smaller subs like r/realestate haven’t said one-iota about what’s happening. Some people just DGAF, and for certain subreddits it would be impossible to get people to migrate to a different platform. Imo

I feel in this case we also have some of the opposite: they are coming, you will build it.

For sometime like Lemmy, the more people that are active, the more people need to donate to keep up with operation costs and to also make it worth while to the host.

Oh man I’ve got a similar recipe for you:

• boil some bean sprouts for a few minutes, strain
• pan fry strained sprouts with a splash of sesame oil. add a dab of tobanjan. sprinke with salt & MSG
