Why don’t they program using spreadsheets? Are they stupid?

The type of nightlife I wouldn’t mind. Looks very cozy
At least around 2015 when SpaceX landed a rocket for the first time, it really does look like he’s the real life Tony Stark. People change, sometimes for the worse.
Pointing out that creating alternative communities takes a long time. You may not like it, but it could be necessary to periodically hang out in the subreddit as a transition phase.
The Bible explicitly says in black and white that God hates gender-nonconforming people.
True. Edit: I like to clarify that I define this strictly to God hating people having sex with another of the same biological sex.
Ditto that Christians need to shun gay men.
Logically speaking, it doesn’t follow. It’s equally valid to hold the opinion that “while God hates gender-nonconforming people, I am not supposed to punish them for it.” In fact a famous example to that effect is John 7:53–8:11: “let him who is without sin, cast the first stone”. Practically-speaking, that line of thinking (that Christians need to shun gay men and similar ideas, that is) had dire consequences in the form of witch trials. There, they used the Christian prohibition on witchcraft to purge societies of social outcasts and undesirables who are most probably not witches.

The lawsuit said the recordings are all available on authorized streaming services and “face no danger of being lost, forgotten, or destroyed.”
They face no danger until they do. Music in streaming platforms is always one corporate drama or profit-driven decision away from being removed. Netflix, anyone?
Saw this coming when D+ started in 2019. Disappointed and not surprised.
At what cost, though?
Artificial scarcity and charge high for the trickle of legal distributed works and content.
In theory, a way for an artist to independently sustain continuous output of creations.
That hinges on the idea that nontangible assets are not scarce (which IMO applies or might just as well apply if it’s in the internet). You are not entitled to a boxed copy of ET (1982), but the same arguments can’t be applied to electronic copies of it.
This may be hot take, but I think games are art and are part of our cultural legacy, and making steps that stops us from enjoying us from that legacy should be considered a crime, especially when they put at risk art disappearing forever.
How can I reconcile it with, say, as a private entity, I have the right to withhold sharing my ideas or creations for whatever reason?
Short answer: don’t. Ask questions that demonstrate familiarity with concepts that you and your team encounter in a regular basis.
If you insist on a coding challenge, give them an old but difficult problem your team encountered in the job and assess how they would solve it.
To be very blunt, it’s best to leave Reddit. Within a year or two, discussing piracy itself would be banned there.
Maybe, part of your job is to not touch anything in a random day and observe what happens when something breaks. That way, you can document what’s not being fixed so that your team is more prepared when you’re actually not there.
