Harris abandoned queers, brown people, and the entire progressive side of the party and needed to pay the consequences.
No, the queer community, brown people, disabled people, etc will now pay the consequences. gg

No no, I was told repeatedly that Trump would be no worse than Harris. Clearly the Palestinians on the ground are wrong somehow.

I’m going with serious societal issue.
Legit visiting a McD’s and working with actual customers for awhile? Sure. An entirely staged photo op where nothing of the sort is done? Nah.
Having said that, I don’t view McD’s any more negatively than I already did for this. It is reasonable IMO for any presidential candidate to put in a stop to wherever. I am pretty doubtful that this particular franchise owner isn’t a Trump supporter, but I bet most of them are.
I’d say if you are appropriating a name from a fictional character for your child (which seems an odd choice, but which I think people should be able to do) it probably doesn’t matter much whether you take further creative liberties with it in that way.
But we gave Palestine a table to sit at in the UN! /s
I wonder if the cops threatened this guy with their weapons while he burned to death like they did that other poor soul.
My favorite was when she clearly (very clearly IMO) seemed about to say “…but this motherfucker…” and restrained herself.
Surprised the US didn’t block it somehow.
Is anyone even surprised anymore?
Good call. Guess I’m going to have to go with this bit of awareness again. 😬
Those kids just need to condemn Hamas and then it will all stop, right?
Good thing it’s the UK here. We know what happens to rich people who incite riots in the US. Nothing.
I want seats next to nobody. How hard will that be to pull off?
Just be a man on a flight full of women.
(No snark intended there - I’m neither a danger to any woman I sit next to, NOR offended if no women sit next to a strange man (me) they don’t know on a flight - but I definitely see an upside where maybe in some circumstances I get an empty seat next to me that I would not have had.)
Nothing feels more alienating that strangers sending positive and negative things to you, like they know you.
I feel like you are creating a pretty strong false equivalence here. A bunch of people said nasty awful things about her that were untrue, attempting to interfere with her ability to remain in the Olympics, and potentially impacting her career. But somehow the folks sending positive messages her way are just as bad?
Wolverines!
US republicans must be nearly as angry as Putin about this development.
Cops can kill people at the drop of a hat. Therefore they should be held to a higher standard.
This is a guiding principle I believe in, so good point, I hadn’t thought of that here.
Fair, but I’m pretty anti-cop and this incident feels like small potatoes.
None of that changes whether you will be among the primary groups to pay the consequences, which is all I said.
