Digger and Paratrooper were probably the first two games I ever played. Both still hold up.

It goes back at least to A Link to the Past. Not sure if there’s precedent before that.
We don’t need more than basic math in programming–anything else is application-specific.
Programming requires logic and reasoning, which is a common foundation for other areas (such as math and philosophy). But we often lump “logic” together with math, which is probably why people assume math is central to programming.
Programming is also a very broad field (when someone says “I’m a programmer,” it’s like saying “I play sports”). Some fields (like embedded software) require more math than others.

It depends on how much money it is, and whether you keep it all.
If the amount were, say, less than 10 million, you’d probably do exactly what you say. If the amount were more but you gave a bunch away to have around 10 mil or less, same thing.
If the amount is billions and you keep it all for yourself, that’s when it starts doing things to you. In order to keep that for yourself, you have to justify it internally–why is it you deserve this money while others are struggling? The only way to justify it is to demonize the poor–believing that poverty is a moral failing, or otherwise believing that you’re better than others.
Extreme wealth hoarding is bad for everyone–both the poor and the rich.
It also gets a lot of research money. As a UW grad, I can confirm that the students are the absolute lowest priority though. If you’re not in a research-focused post grad program, you’re seen as a chore.
Yeah, this looks like a ponzi scheme using (useless) real estate. Can’t say I feel bad for whoever gets stuck with it. Sucks that everyone else has to deal with inflated housing prices because of it, though.
“Yeah, but my PC doesn’t handle it well. If my PC were upgraded, it could really gen some AI.”
I wish I could, but cameras are restricted :/
My office has two ping pong tables. They’re literally roped off with caution tape, and nobody is allowed to use them. I wish I were kidding.
Even using bullet points can help a lot in these situations (I use them quite often in emails with non-technical recipients).
We like to think English follows a consistent set of rules.
It doesn’t.
I’m in Michigan, that makes me a Michigander. The rules are made up and the suffixes don’t matter.
It stops whatever is playing and starts playing the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Depends on where you live, I believe. But I imagine there would be some VoIP at some point if you’re calling any significant distance.
Even cell carriers in the American midwest have mostly switched over. I think partly because maintaining the infrastructure for traditional tech is costly, and VoIP has potential for higher-quality sound.
Javascript is all about them boollikes (or as we sometimes call them, booleish).
In zero-based indexing, zero is #1.
But what’s the statue made of?
