  • I do think they are annoying but a necessary type of annoying that will help humanity progress. The same type of annoying as people who claimed women had rights and African Americans were not inferior.

Humans treat this planet like shit, we have zero respect for living beings and the ecosystems. Anyone who gets angry if someone calls them out for supporting animal abuse is just immature and selfish. Like they’ll just deny they are doing something wrong.

I’ll probably never stop eating meat until stuff like Beyond Meat becomes mainstream. But I won’t pretend I’m not a straight up asshole to these animals for supporting their torture and murder. The times I’ve been called out I’ve embraced it instead of denying the obvious.

In 150 years humans will look back in shame at what we did to those animals.

  • If we had a single time zone, we couldn’t use “am” or “pm”.

These mean ante-meridiem and post-meridiem. So, before midday and after midday. There would be no concept of midday linked to hours that could apply to all locations.

The most apropiate would be talking in 24h format. It wouldn’t bother me if someone said I have to wake up at 13 and finish my job at 21. These are just numbers.

But yeha, it’s still a bad idea because people would have to change calendars constantly because of daylight savings.

  • I’m not saying it is a conspiracy, I was just explaining why people think it is.

But let’s assume they did place the explosives, they wouldn’t have to be in the place of impact, they would be located in many places, just like a controlled demolition.

Again, not saying that’s what happened, just saying that the US is constantly doing sneaky stuff under the covers, which is why most conspiracies don’t seem far fetched.

Do you really think it is insane to believe the US made up the moon landing as a propaganda campaign against Russia? I believe we went to the moon, but if they came up with official documents saying we didn’t, I would be like “welp, US doing US things I guess”

  • I think it is because of the bizarre way the towers collapsed. Just like a controlled demolition looks like. The way the WTC7, that did not get hit by any plane, also collapsed. Supposedly because it caught on fire too.

I think this is really the cause of suspicion, it was just pretty bizarre. A lot of people came forward to explain that a fire couldn’t brind such a massive structure down.

Also, the US is known for doing weird shit behind everyone’s backs. The CIA is constantly doing shit like taking governments down or causing a drug crisis in black neighborhoods. You gotta admit the US agencies are sneaky in general, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if they were actually responsible for the twin towers. There’s no evidence but I’m pretty sure the CIA was somehow involved with the Nord Stream pipeline

  • I’ve never been able to successfully write a jq command without having to Google it. It is something so complex and I don’t do it often, so I just forget everything.

I hope they figure out something with more I tuitive syntax, something SQL-like that people can write without having to look at a manual.

Anyways, AI is here… pretty soon we’ll just translate natural text to whatever overly complex language there is.

I’m sure I’ll get replies of people saying jq is easy. It isn’t for me, right now I can t even remember how to filter and create associations between objects. I think I’ll just start writing small python apps to process JSON. A bit longer but at least I can maintain it. The only issue is that Python is too heavy… I’ll figure something out.

I’ve been thinking for a while that what we actually need is a modern shell language. Like a mix between python and shell. Imagine if you had native support to read a JSON using shell.

Edit: oh shit. Said all of this and then saw the comment below talking about Nushell. Today is a good day.
