Metaphor ReFantazio isn’t on GoG.
Baldur’s Gate 3, which I mentioned in my other post, is. I am running the GoG version of that game. I’ll do GoG any chance I get.

Upgrading my graphics drivers from 470 to 560 did the trick! 560 is the latest officially supported by System76/PopOS (and is the latest option in my pop shop.)
And that fixed my issue with Baldur’s Gate 3 getting stuck on the loading screen at 100%! Two problems solved for the price of one!
I had an issue before where on 560 my computer wouldn’t wake from sleep mode and would just crash. I never upgraded because if that, as I sleep my computer daily. I’ll have to see if that issue persists now or was patched out.
Thank you so much!
EDIT: For anyone who may know anything about the crashing-from-suspend issue, I’m asking for help here.
Is it just one friend? How would you compare using FFS versus creating and sharing a torrent?
Never heard of paintball 2, but dang, an fps from 1998 that’s still recording updates??? That’s nuts!
47 upvotes and not a single thanks?
Hey, thanks.
Also, I’m having an issue extracting this using the default “archive manager” in linux. I get “An error occurred while extracting files” and it crashes when launching on windows. Did anyone else have a similar problem?
It may happen once the Switch has reached its end-of-life. There would be less chance of N going after someone if their console is dead.
No, not impossible. I know they went after the melee community. But whoever picks up the torch would have less of a crosshair on their back at that point in time.
WHOA. Yeah ok, I just thought that they were organized by date. This is the way. Thank you!
Mostly, probably.
I would expect the legal teams to slow down once the switch becomes obsolete. (Like the SNES, GCN, etc.) At that point some other group will take up the mantle and patch whatever is broken.
… That’s my guess.
Cool, but all of those alterative clients still require ARLs. They even link to the same ARL page I linked to above, the one with outdated ARLs.
Yeah, there was a big thread on it not too long ago, which is what got me started down that road. But that thread is pretty old now so I didn’t want to resurrect it.
That’s because in almost every instance, you only need to push the slider 1/3 to 1/2 strength. Seriously.
At max strength your eyes can splay too far apart and it’s uncomfortable.
Awesome! I’ll check this out!!
I found the megathread from Lemmy when I switched over, I thought it was lemmy-based.
I really want to know how to extract them as well. I paid for a movie on YouTube since it was available nowhere else and yt wouldn’t let me download it without DRM, so I just OBS’d the whole thing.
I had captions on, so they’re baked in. I really like captions, but it would be nice to have the option to turn them off.
If the person who died at Disney had not paid for Disney plus, but instead had pirated what they wanted to watch on Disney plus, they would not have signed the contract with Disney plus. That contract forfeited them the right to sue Disney.
I gotchu fam.
Disney big boy, doing bad boy stuff. Oopsy killed someone but says it’s ok, might get away with it.
Buying stuff now is all a service, go old school and buy paper books and pirate digital stuff. If the person who died at Disney had been a pirate, then Disney would be NOT OK MURDERER.
Have a popup text line in explorer that says “you are browsing inside of a compressed file, you must extract the contents to use them” or something. The functionality is already there, when you go to “network” it says “network sharing and discovery is turned off, click here to turn it on”
Perhaps this occurred in the small window of time when it had been implemented and it didn’t ask, or perhaps they just said no.
Regardless, I had to troubleshoot
This reminds me of when I sent someone a program in a zip folder. Windows now opens zip folders by default, and it looks just like any other folder.
So of course they opened the zip and double clicked the exe, but everyone knows you can’t open an exe inside a zip folder (at least, if the exe depends on the folders and files around it). If you try to, windows will extract the exe into a temp space, but leave all the dependencies behind. So the exe promptly crashes.
I didn’t think I needed to specify “you need to extract the contents of the zip folder first, then run the exe.” It feels like saying “you need to take the blender out of the box before you can use it. And not just the _base _ of the blender, you have to take out all the parts.”
Some things just feel so much like second nature that we forget.
I haven’t compared, I was just happy to get to the main menu with a respectable FPS. What’s the standard way to view your performance these days? MangoHUD? Does that work on windows?
