Maybe not, but it apparently helped mildly amuse significantly more folks than it pissed off so I’m happy with it.

Because Reddit karma is a score openly visible to everyone based on a simple and direct vote system, while this turns out to be a behind-the-scenes score users have but can’t see, understand the calculations behind, or respond to directly.
One issue with that was pointed out by reddit user tharic99 in the top comment to the linked post:
So users have this hidden score in the back end that they’re not aware of. We as moderators can use that hidden score to make automod determinations based off of the hidden score and we can’t even see it as a moderator.
Correct?
Why does this feel like years ago when trying to get a loan or credit application and being told you don’t have enough credit, but no one will tell you what your credit score was or what number you needed. It was this mythical number in the back end that only the credit agency knew about.
There’s no harm in leaving a forwarding address when you leave a place.
Additionally, it’s a common practice for some users of reddit and things like it to click over to the profile of someone who posted something you find interesting; why not check out what else they post or are into? Now whenever someone clicks OP’s profile the first thing they’ll see is this, and that’s potentially of value to someone over there who hasn’t yet checked things out over here. Old reddit posts and commments still get new engagement coming in all the time even years after the fact, so something like this can actually reach folks.
Lemmy is still too obsessed with reddit, for as much as Lemmy loves to hate on Reddit they sure are very interested in it lol.

It’s understandable human nature, though. Many promising new dates have been spoiled by one of the participants not being able to shut up about their crappy ex.

Consoles are debatable, players were probably on a couch at the end of a wire while their parents shouted at them not to sit too close to the TV, but arcade games were actually made for people to play and experience while standing right in front of the screen. Standard viewing distance was short enough for this to matter, and arcade monitors were generally tuned for up-close viewing more than household TVs.
Reddit never needed to fix their own hilariously-bad failure of an app, they could have just bought any of the ready-made, popular, beloved third-party apps out there for far less than this fiasco is costing them now. Old Twitter did this back in the day, some of their official clients started out as successful third-party apps.

If you’re on desktop go to the “communities” tab, select “all” under “list of communities,” and search for “syncforlemmy”. That will show you the syncforlemmy communities on lemmy.ml as well as here on lemmy.world (which has many more users, if that’s important to you) and elsewhere, and you can click each one to have a look and subscribe.
Your use of terminology is confusing.
There aren’t different “fediverses.” There is one single Fediverse - that’s the sum total of all the different federated services (Lemmy, Mastodon, Pixelfed, etc.) which can potentially communicate with one another, and the individual servers providing those services (like Lemmy.world, which is the Lemmy server where you have your account as well as the one hosting this community) interacting with each other.
Could you be more specific about what particular thing on the Fediverse you are trying to use, and from which user account?
